Grace will flow like a river

It is impossible to hate those for whom you pray.
So pray for your "enemies";
grace will flow like a river--Br.MD

well....not wanting to spoil the moment.....but....

grace means to....allow

walk with grace?.....among the angels

would that be your ability?......or their allowance?

I went to catholic schools.....strict disciplines
made bid for position at a seminary

but only two positions available
and twelve people showed up

apparently there are at least two .... more holy than I

but no hard feelings
I continued reading scripture

and I dropped the dogma

so did the chruch
have you notice the catechism is a thing of the past?

I think I would have to pray for myself first that I may forgive my enemy in order to pray for my enemy from the heart. But yes, holding a grudge weighs one down, we are lifted in God's grace.

I have no ability on my own to pray for my enemies, it is a grace. Grace is freely given to all, it is God's love, his desire to heal all, we each have the freedom to choose.

We are to love God, ourselves, and others......so you are right.

having the freedom to choose was dealt on Day Six

that was not a guarantee it would be well used

We choose to be in relationship with God or others. From that the give and take is grace, based on trust, which is not easy.
