Scum of the earth Robert Mugabe - Wikipedia died today and good riddance. Known for being a Marxist, racist, and leading a corrupt govt with many human rights violations. Humanity is better off without him. Another great example of the corruption and misery socialism/communism brings to its people.

Ahh yes Mugabe. A nationalist, ostensibly freed Zimbabwe from colonial rule. Praised by African libertarians as a hero and despised by everyone else, seemingly.
I wonder how many actual socialists support so called “Mugabeism.”

You are completely naive if you think right wing governments are not susceptible to the same levels of corruption and disrespect for human rights.

Marxism is a critique of laissez faire capitalism. Before you equate Marxism with corruption you might want to educate yourself on exactly what Marx was being critical about with regards to laissez faire capitalism. It is not a doctrine advocating totalitarianism. It's just a a criticism of excesses and problems with laissez faire capitalism:

Corruption in government has nothing to do with whether a government is left wing or right wing. Corruption is flaw found in human nature. I read a piece of psychological analysis explaining why our leaders are or become so immoral. It is called the "metamorphic effect of power" coined by David Kipnis in his behavior psychology book, "Power Holders" and his book, "Power and Technology."

You've heard the expression from Lord Acton, "Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely." Well, it's even worse than just simple corruption! It turns out there is a fatal flaw in human psyche when it comes to people in positions of power. In Kipnis's book he focuses not on the worker, consumer, or citizen. But instead he focuses on the CEO, doctor, lawyer, and politician. He focuses on the power holder and not the masses under the control of authority. And his results are astounding! It turns out when people assume positions of power it changes the way they think in a deep psychological way.

The people in positions of power eventually experience a growing sense of contempt and hatred for the people they have power or influence over. This is why the leader of communism, or any and all types of governments, eventually turn on their people. Kipnis coins this effect the "metamorphic effect of power". When your psyche changes there becomes a point where you don't see the people you have power over as human beings, but insects or automaton machines not worthy any shred of respect. Once people are thought of as insects then there are no moral consequences if you squash them like ants under your foot. The only way not to be changed by metamorphic effect is to be aware of it's existence.

And from I read about Mugabe, he wasn't really a true Marxist, "despite his professed Marxist desire for a socialist society—adhered largely to mainstream, conservative economic policies."

Even from his twisted point of view, I'm sure just like Hitler, there was no part during his life where he did not rationalize any of his actions as being not necessary for some greater good. Everyone generally thinks they are a "good" person worthy of love and respect even though it seems mind boggling to us that they would do so!
