So why was it necessary to sew fig leaves together and make coverings for themselves.?

    Genesis 3:7
Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they realized they were naked; so they sewed fig leaves together and made coverings for themselves.

Good question. After all, Eve does seem to have been an after thought.

    Genesis 2:18
The Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him.”

Dream up whatever title you wish to take the sting out of mine, it doesn't change the import of the situation. :D

Then why saying something that you can not back up.
So it would be Ok with you, if someone went about saying things, that you never said, How long would it be, before you ask them, Why are you saying things that I never said.

After Eve took of the tree and gave to Adam, and the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked.
Notice that before they took of the tree, They had No awareness of being naked.
Only after they took of the tree.

The eyes of them both were opened to see they disobeyed God.

Notice what Christ Jesus said in the book of Mark 13:28 --"Now learn a Parable of the fig tree?

Now to learn the parable of the fig tree, is to start with Adam and Eve seeing both took of the fig tree and sewed fig leaves together and made themselves aprons.

Then from Adam and Eve follow the fig tree throughout the scriptures,

Are you still going on about the apple?

Nah. Not even a nice try. Please note the "so" in "so they sewed fig leaves together . . . ." It serves as a conjunction meaning "and for this reason; therefore." The reason being the realization they were naked, and the therefore, the act of sewing fig leaves together.

    Genesis 3:7
7 Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they realized they were naked; so they sewed fig leaves together and made coverings for themselves.

If this still eludes you, ask yourself why they would need to cover up with fig leaves because they realized they had disobeyed god. But then, maybe this actually does make sense to you. "Oops, I disobeyed god. Better get some fig leaves and cover my genitals."

OMG!! The lengths you go to is shameless. Do you make a connection between the ribs in Daniel with the rib taken from Adam to make Eve?

    Daniel 7:5
“And there before me was a second beast, which looked like a bear. It was raised up on one of its sides, and it had three ribs in its mouth between its teeth. It was told, ‘Get up and eat your fill of flesh!’

    Genesis 2:21
So the Lord God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep; and while he was sleeping, he took one of the man’s ribs and then closed up the place with flesh.
    If not, why not?

In any case, for those who may be looking in here and wondering what you're talking about.

The Parable of the Barren Fig Tree

    Luke 13:6-9

6 And he told this parable: “A man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard, and he came seeking fruit on it and found none. 7 And he said to the vinedresser, ‘Look, for three years now I have come seeking fruit on this fig tree, and I find none. uCut it down. Why should it use up the ground?’ 8 And he answered him, ‘Sir, let it alone this year also, until I dig around it and put on manure. 9 Then if it should bear fruit next year, well and good; but if not, you can cut it down. Why should it use up the ground?’ 8 And he answered him, ‘Sir, let it alone this year also, until I dig around it and put on manure. 9 Then if it should bear fruit next year, well and good; but if not, you can cut it down. ”

At that time of Adam and Eve they sewed fig leaves together as a sign of their Repentance.
That for us to day, we go to God in prayer in Repentance of forgiveness of our sin of disobedience.

Does the Bible say they sewed fig leaves together in repentance, or even hints at it? No it doesn't. This is simply more malarkey you're concocting, imagining what you would like them to have done. Sorry, but honest Bible interpretation doesn't work that way. It sounds more like the twisted reasoning one gets from fundie evangelicals.

Go Figure, There are 3 aspects to what Adam and Eve did after taking of the tree.
    1-- Their eyes were opened.
2-- they sewed fig leaves together
    3-- they hid themselves.

What happened that their eyes were opened?
Why did they sewed fig leaves together?
    Why did they hid themselves?

What was the motive behind these 3 things

Their eyes were opened, to see they disobeyed God.
They sewed fig leaves, because they were naked, But yet they were naked the whole time in the garden of Eden.
Could it be their guilt was finding them out, so they sewed fig leaves together. To try and hid their shame?

They hid themselves because their guilt was to much to bare to face God. On what they had done?

If we can find the Motive, Then we can find the reason why they did what they did.
