When is the last time (for those of you that are theists), that you told your Deity(ies), that you Loved them?

Is/Are your Deity(ies) supposed to care for you/us (oh lowly mortals), in your view?

I stood in the rain this evening and invoked several of the Gods and Goddeses I worship, and did just that.

In my daily life i thank God more by thought than i do by stopping somewhere to say "thank you God for....."
Should we do it? I think if it more out of a habbit, than out of pure love for God than it is not worth doing it.

IMHO, It is superstition and childhood indoctrination.
Do it because you cannot get out of it as atheists are able to do. :)

What atheists can or can not do isn't something i worry about.
If I wish to thank God for something, i do it out of free will, not because someone told me to do it :)

Every once and again I may say so. I would hope my actions and rites would speak for me. It couldn't hurt to say it a little more often. They've done a lot for me. I believe they care.

Remember that old meme, "Say you love Satan Cornijer!" :p

Every day is a love day expressed.

Love doesn't have to care... love wants to and gets to care so we care for each other. I love giving Him the desires of His heart as He does mine. :)

We weren't so low that He couldn't come down to us and now He lifts us up to where He is.

In words, no. In a feeling like iron filings responding to a magnet? Just now as I was thinking about the question.

To use poetic imagery, we are not lowly but roses on His bush, some just becoming buds, some fully formed buds and a few fully open and releasing His perfume into the world.

"The Divine Beloved is always with you.
    In you and around you.
Know that you are not separate from Him"

I try to do this often. :)

I don't know who's supposed to do what, but I feel thankful for the relationships I do have with them.

I am thankful for what fate has bestowed on me and grateful for the direction that my life seems to be heading since I have chosen to live in accordance with the Logos.

If the Logos is more than a naturalistic symbol, then I hope the weight of that gratitude is not lost on Zeus, even if I am unaware of his existence.

This why I specifically asked for the opinions of Theists.

    Atheism = Lack of God-belief
So, they just never experienced God

They are not capable to "get out of it", because they were never "in it" in the first place
That is the accurate way of saying it

Fake it till you make it, does apply here too. It takes time to develop "Love for God"...long time.
All prayers meditation exercizes, mantras are just tools to get God's Grace to "Love God"

Yes, the different practices and techniques lead people closer to God when followed and used daily. And it takes a long time for sure.

    In my view:
All prayers to whichever deity goto God. And yes, God cares for us...not low mortals, but Divine incarnations, not aware of our true being

Many atheists were theists in the beginning (including myself). So, "get out of it" is correct. :)

I meant with "they were never in it", that they never experienced God
I was not talking about "in it" as in Religion, I didn't mention Religion
"in it" was referring to "experiencing God" in my 2 lines prior to it

I thank them for all they've done for me and tell them I love them every day, to be sure they know. :)

Jesus died for our sins, that is how we know He cares, but you have to be tough to walk this path.

Honestly, I don't feel comfortable showing affection towards a god or goddess at this point in my life because of the living hell I went through while I was still a Christian and my personal distaste for the Christian God. I suppose you could call me "gun-shy" in regards to being wary of becoming emotionally attached to a new god or goddess. I'm content to keep my beliefs at arm's length right now.
