I think he was profoundly evil.
The most evil person who ever was president.

I don't see any reason to believe in Hell, but if there is one he deserves it as much as anybody.

Nope, I just heard one of his speech writers talking on NPR and he brought up the fact that he was the youngest pilot ever in the U.S. Army (no Air Force in those days). He drove the speech writers nuts, if they brought up his military record, where he was a decorated hero at the age of 20 he would remove that from the speech. He would not brag about his accomplishments in WWII. Nor would he attack his opponents with ad hominem. Sigh . . . I miss those days.

He was a class act!

I'll say that GHW Bush was a disaster for Americastan.
His version of "kinder & gentler" was to send US troops
around the globe to wage war as policeman to the world.
His flavor of foreign adventurism has been very costly.
Add to this his emphatic but empty promise of no new taxes.
And then reneging on it by raising marginal tax rates,
rather than raising revenue in a manner which encouraged
productivity.

I feel that this death was under reported ; the man's funeral is tomorrow. It's not like when Michael Jackson died that the Internet broke. Heck, it's not even like the death of Nelson Mandela

One thing that bothered me about HW was that he supposedly said that atheists should not have the right to vote. Now it appears that may have been a false claim by a reporter that seemed to have hated Bush:

The gist of the article is that only one reporter ever made that claim. He was not supported by other reporters at the scene and he could not support his claim.
