I wish I'd know those geological mnemonics when I was a student. I did know the mathematical "Que j'aime a faire apprendre un nombre utile aux sages" when I was at school, also "Schoolboys often have canings after having transgressed our authority (politically incorrect, but we had a worse one in private!)
