I was on LGBTQ site where a lot of teens go for support for coming out etc. A new member posted she was gay and needed donations for the trouble she was having at home. There are a lot of scams (or maybe in rare cases like this inappropriate and unsafe ways of asking for help) online. I'm half sure it wasn't a scam but more of the latter; but, nonetheless, think smart. Think safe.
