France is about to create Super Human Soldiers by chip implant

I read already that China is working to create a kind of "Super Human Soldiers", but I was not that much worried, because it's a long walk from China to Holland. But now France is starting, that is very nearby

    * What do you think, is this a good thing, to create Super Human Soldiers by implanting a chip in them?
    * Maybe it's an experiment, and they plan to implant chips in all humans; they do it already in cats and dogs
    * Would you like to be chipped? In Sweden they have experimented with chipped humans.
    * Do you see advantages, do you see disadvantages in chipping humans?
    * When they promise superpowers when you get chipped, it might be tempting ... human on steroids

    As for the "superhumans"...
It will not happen in my life time.
though we might see some artificially slightly better than average humans.

I don't see massively enhanced humans by implanting chips in the near future. There are some minor perks of chipping though:
Identification will be faster and more secure. Just like there are already cat flaps that open only for your cat, a chip may work as a key (together with an other bio marker for more security).
"Chips" may enhance health. Just as your pace maker, you may have electronic devices controlling parts of your brain or organs for enhanced health.

Anything going above that may be reached by external equipment. HUDs for tactical information, e.g. There is neither the need nor as yet the capability to implement those.

What is your take on pacemakers?
I mean, it is an implant that improves human function...

Every major power on earth has been trying to create super soldiers for some time in secret. It's cold war 2.0. And not just chips are involved or drugs. Think genetics and cybernetics.

Super hero movies are preparing people for future when we'll be encouraged to embrace cyborg technology. The point is to influence people that they'll be superhuman if they accept. Really, that's not the purpose. The purpose is control. Plan and simple.

Still want superpowers? I prefer my freedom and humanity.

I think combining biology and technology, right or wrong will continue to march forward. I think it will happen quicker than most expect due to have quickly technology advances.

I suspect some good things will come of it, like improving the quality of life or helping folks with disabilities along with technologies for catastrophic warfare.

Games like Cyber Punk 2077 try to predict the trends in technology.

How 'Cyberpunk 2077' is intelligently predicting future tech - We Are The Mighty

It won't be the first time something predicted by sci-fy entertainment has come true.

    Of course, I won't be around in 2077. :(

Personally I would not take a pacemaker, I am at peace if my heart stops
But, I think its a great thing for all the people who need it

And as a kid I watched/liked "6 million dollar man", and recently I saw there was also a female version
So, I am surprised it took them so long to put it in mass production
Of course it means a big change in playing games (Olympics etc)

Took them quite long. ca. 1973 I watched 6 million dollar man.
But would be interesting to see it for real. Unless it's for soldiers only

I once saw a documentary of Chinese Super Human Soldiers, that is scary, if I am not Super Human. And the downside is, that most people in power of a nation, also love to control others, so chances are high, this will be abused in our disadvantage.

I think they have been working on this for ages, so first they allow movies to be made, so people don't freak out when they introduce it. I have seen this happen many times.

Even 2037 I probably won't be around. But I think the coming 10 years we will see a big step in this direction

A major positive thing might be, that all criminals can be controlled. That would be good, all people will be forced to comply with the Law
Might be a major step towards "World Peace" if they use it in the right way

Yes, that is how I see it too. Movies like the Matrix. And computer Games too. It's easiest to brainwash kids at a young age. We have a special news channel just for kids. I saw it, and they were really brainwashing kids that they will be chipped in the future, and that it is good, because of Covid-19 and in the future Covid-20 or 30. I was amazed seeing this. But, I understand, they are the new group, so better prep them at a young age

I am not sure of many things, but that "control" is their purpose is just common sense of which I am quite sure

I remember elderly people saying "those good old times when we were young", but I was used and brainwashed at young age, so I thought "what are they talking about", but now I have the same feeling "those good old times when we were young (1970-1990). But kids brainwashed in this age, will think "what the hack is he talking about, this is an amazing time".

I don't need superpowers. Would be fun to have them though. But, I can see the downside, where it will take us. Freedom gone, and less humane. So, I would vote against it. But I can't stop it, so I just accept it. And I don't worry. It's all part of a game called "life".

Yes, that's not for the "faint of heart"

I fruballed you 1 heart, that should fix "your broken heart", and just in case insufficient, I'll add a few more; that should get your heart started again
