Jesus. That’s crazy and a complete violation of human rights. If true

On a somewhat related note I don’t know how that Ivermectin thing even started. How does one treat a virus with parasite medication? It doesn’t make any sense.

In the context of Ivermectin, "parasite" refers to
critters much larger than a virus, eg, lice, worms.
Ivermectin - Wikipedia

We must be careful to not use overly broad definitions
because "parasite" could mean viruses, germs, bacteria,
worms, flukes, televangelists, & politicians.
We must also seek to be informed on treating coviid with ivermectin.

Arkansas inmates are suing after being given ivermectin to treat COVID-19

Inmates at a facility in Arkansas say that they were given Ivermectin w/o their consent, to prevent/treat COVID.

This is absolutely barbaric if this has any merit to it. Who uses inmates for medical experimentation? Ridiculous.
I don't doubt it because America as a whole is abusive towards inmates. Here they send the Coasters to the Valley where they open to Valley Fever. Texas lets them cook to death. Everywhere stuffs them in and has many inmates without a bed. The food is lower than low quality. The medical care and sanitation are so terrible that MRSA is common in jails. America still uses long term isolated confinement. And although once their sentence is over we say they have paid their debt to society we still hold them guilty and don't give them the needed chances to get on the right path. Frequently they can't even vote, but still must pay taxes.

Well...if they are healthy...it means it worked
Not necessarily and probably not. To date the data is suggesting it's not an effective treatment.

Yes. And that link agrees it hasn't been demonstrated to work for covid.
Most recent update(s): The Infectious Diseases Society of America’s COVID-19 guidelines continue to suggest against ivermectin use outside of the context of a clinical trial in outpatients or hospitalized patients with COVID-19. The guideline panel states that additional, sufficiently designed clinical trials are needed to inform decisions.

The National Institutes of Health's COVID-19 guidelines panel continue to indicate that there are insufficient data to recommend for or against the use of ivermectin for the treatment of COVID-19 and that results from adequately powered, well-designed, and well-conducted clinical trials are needed to provide more specific, evidence-based guidance.

You may need to be the one to do that.

But, of course, there is no "catch all" treatment that will work for all parasites.
"Essential Meaning of parasite

1 : an animal or plant that lives in or on another animal or plant and gets food or protection from it" - Definition of PARASITE

"Animals (also called Metazoa) are multicellular, eukaryotic organisms in the biological kingdom Animalia." - Animal - Wikipedia

"Plants are predominantly photosynthetic eukaryotes of the kingdom Plantae." - Plant - Wikipedia

"A virus is a submicroscopic infectious agent that replicates only inside the living cells of an organism.[1]" - Virus - Wikipedia

Seems the authorities don't agree among themselves. I'd go with the Merriam-Webster, especially in this case.

I'll go with the actual medical sources and a science news site. They carry more weight on the subject than a dictionary.

Juridically we need to demonstrate the nexus of causality between medicine administration and adverse effects.
Correlation does not mean causation. We need proper testing with proper controls. Four human guinea pigs do not achieve that, and it wasn't an experiment anyways. The inmates were lied to about what they were given, and what they were given was a medication that has not been demonstrated to effectively treat covid.
