"For many be called, but few chosen.” For Christians only

By the way I am not here teaching anything. A teacher expect his or her students to understand. I know that there are only a few people that can understand the true message of Jesus Christ our Lord and God.

(Matthew 7:13-14) “Enter by the narrow gate since the road that leads to perdition is wide and spacious, and many take it; but it is a narrow gate and a hard road that leads to life, and only a few find it.”

(Matthew 20:16) “So the last shall be first and the first last: for many be called, but few chosen.”

(1 John 3:5-6) “Now you know that he appeared in order to abolish sin, and that in him there is no sin; anyone who lives in God does not sin, and anyone who sins has never seen him or known him.”

(1 Corinthians 1:18-25) “The language of the cross may be illogical to those who is are not on the way to salvation, but those of us who are on the way see it as God's Power to save. -As scripture says: I shall destroy the wisdom of the wise and bring to nothing all the learning of the learned. • Where are the philosophers now! Where are the scribes! Where are any of our thinkers today? Do you see now how God has shown up the foolishness of human wisdom? If it was God's wisdom that human wisdom should not know God, it was because God wanted to save those who have faith through the foolishness of the message that we preach. And so, while the Jews demand miracles and the Greeks look for wisdom, -here are we preaching a crucified Christ; to the Jews an obstacle that they cannot get over, to the pagans madness, -but to those who have been called, whether they are Jews or Greeks, a Christ who is the power and the wisdom of God.”

Personally, I feel like this is a mistake due to an incorrect translation centuries back. I feel like it doesn't make sense with the rest of what Jesus taught. It should read "for many be called, but few will choose to follow". What are your thoughts?

I love it!

Human's authored scripture, though. Certainly human beings were responsible for translating it time and time again. So, why would you think that a mistake of this sort would be impossible?

Because the Holy Spirit/Jesus tells his Children if what is written in God’s written Word, is right or not.

God's word is always right. What we read is not usually right. The Holy Spirit teaches a person how to listen.

Jesus Christ my Lord and God is whom I listen to. Jesus long ago told me to stop trying to figure him out, and just follow him. Every thought, action is always led by Jesus Christ.
I trust you are telling the truth, but it is possible that your zeal for God is not according to knowledge? Romans 10:2

You seem to have an opinion, but the scripture you have used to support your opinion does not have any bearing on what I have posted. Jews did not have Jesus/Holy Spirit guiding them.

God has made a temple of me. I am a temple of God, and am always in communication with him. Communication meaning Jesus talks to me and I talk to him,

(John 14: 23) “Anyone who loves me will keep my word and my Father will love him, and we shall come to him and make a home in him.”

You said,

What do you mean "if it is not right"?

I meant that if a translation of the written Word of God is not correct, Jesus/Holy Spirit tells me what the correct translation/meaning is.

A spiritual Christian does not need the written Word of God, other than to use as a communication tool for those who are not being taught by the Holy Spirit/Jesus.

(1 John 2: 27) “But you have not lost the anointing that he gave you, and you do not need anyone to teach you; the anointing he gave teaches you everything: you are anointed with truth, not with a lie, and as it has taught you, so you must stay in him.”

That's exactly what I'm talking about, though. I read the gospels and it becomes apparent when certain passages seem to contradict the spirit of Jesus' teachings. I feel like it is at least reasonable, from a Christian worldview, to attribute this to the Holy Spirit.

Yes and one needs to be very sure it is the Holy Spirit telling him or her. The Holy Spirit once told me to tell others that no matter who tells them anything about God, be it a priest, bishop, or anyone, they were to ask Jesus if it is right or wrong.

I can use scripture to confirm what has been told to me by God, but I would never use a scripture translation that God said was in error. The scripture you question has not been translated wrong, and is just about the same in all the authorized version of the bible.

So many called but few are chosen tells us what about God?

I can think of an instance in which many were called but only one was chosen

Esther 2:8 Esther 2:17

I believe it means Jesus has and does call many people to become children of God. But not many people choose to obey and live God’s Commandments. Those who choose not to live God’s Commandments are not chosen to come with Jesus to the kingdom of heaven.

(John 12:47-48) “If anyone hears my words and does not keep them faithfully, it is not I who shall condemn him, since I have come not to condemn the world, but to save the world: he who rejects me and refuses my words has his judge already: the word itself that I have spoken will be his judge on the last day.”

Those who have heard God’s Word are those who have been called. Those who refuses God’s Word are those who have not been chosen.
