On facebook a relative posted a link to this article by someone calling themselves Gen. Michael Flynn.

Gen. Michael Flynn: If we don't act, 2% of the people are about to control the other 98%

He claims that there is an organized effort to drive God and prayer out of our churches, associates this with the Black Lives Matter movement and says the police are our defense against totalitarianism. He finishes his article by saying we must challenge every politician and always support our police. Some alarming quotes follow from the linked article:

"There is now a small group of passionate people working hard to destroy our American way of life. Treason and treachery are rampant and our rule of law and those law enforcement professionals who uphold our laws are under the gun more than at any time in our nation’s history."

"If the United States wants to survive the onslaught of socialism, if we are to continue to enjoy self-government and the liberty of our hard-fought freedoms we have to understand there are two opposing forces: One is the 'children of light' and the other is the 'children of darkness.' "

"They are also intent on driving God out of our families, our schools and our courts. They are even seeking the very removal of God from our churches, essentially hoping to remove God from our everyday lives."

These are just three of the many claims made against BLM in this article. Is this what BLM means when it says "We are trained Marxists?" What, exactly, are the aims of BLM? Does it, in fact, believe in marxism? Does it aim to drive God out of our families, schools and our courts? If so, why? If not then why does a US General believe this?

Maybe as he claims BLM is merely a marxist bloody uprising falsely claiming to be a movement for the benefit of black Americans. That appears to be the gist of this article. If you know something this is a chance to comment and to reply to the charges.

Radical panic-mongering propaganda. Designed to intentionally scare people with false narratives. You'd be surprised how effective these conspiracy theories are on people. And they vote based on these false narratives.
Every presidential election it's the same thing from republicans. Scare the bajeezuz out of their audience. Republican elitists even put together movies in theaters with the same false narrative.
"Obama's America" or "Death of a Nation"
Who does that? Capitalist vultures preying on the vulnerable.

Flynn's comment seems just as dumb as the "trained Marxist" comment.

An op-ed of an op-ed that essentially claims that Flynn is crazy because he dared do the unthinkable, which is to write about the importance of having faith in God. Gasp, the horror! Yes, lock up all the religionists! Shut down RF!

With his track record, why would anyone believe him to begin with?

When have politicians ever stopped hawking the importance
of God, eh. Flynn is just one in a long never ending line.
Btw, if they really believed, wouldn't they behave better?

That's what you got out of that? His craziness has nothing to do with mentioning God. Obama mentioned his faith, too.

Nah. It's not the same. Obama could talk faith all he wanted because at the end of the day (and the start of it. And the middle) he held the views so dearly prized by the left. In our case, that BLM rocks and the police must be shutdown. Flynn disagrees, so when he talks about faith and God, he's a nut.

Obama opposed gay marriage specifically because of his Christianity.
    Seemed quasi-crazy to me.
It seems that he recovered from that anti-progressive stance.
(After the USSC took charge of the issue.)

I'm inclined to agree with you, but then again, is sin really the measure for a faithometer?

Sorry mate. I really have no idea what you found problematic with what he wrote, if it's not talk of faith or hell or BLM or defending the police...:grimacing::oops:

I meant his right-wing conspiracy bs and outright lies about BLM. I'm a Christian so why do you think I'd have a problem with him mentioning God or hell? I believe in both.

That was exactly why I was scratching my head...
On the other hand, at least in some Jewish communities, there is open disdain towards people who are "too forthcoming" with their Judaism. An old saying by Moses Mendelssohn is, roughly, "Be a Jew in your home and a German outside." So maybe this is something that goes on in other religions, too...:grimacing:

Nah, Christians aren't supposed to hide it. Just the opposite, we're supposed to proclaim Christ even if it means we die.

I don't think anyone should hide their religion. But some disagree.
