The devil incarnate.
They were no more difficult. The swap was because marine are (or were) a lot more expensive - my father's decision : it was his money. Marine were much more interesting and colourful.
We had plants in the freshwater tropical. About as interesting as the fish...
I lost interest after the swap. After you've hand-fed a lion fish, sprinkling a few flakes on the water isn't quite as engaging...
I never hand fed a lion fish, but I was completely surprised that the gouramis in my first tank would eat out of my hand. It was a really awesome experience for a new fish keeper.
Yeah... I get that money thing. That's probably the main thing holding us back from marine...

Personally I wouldn't now, unless I could have a massive tank. Best off in the oceans.
