Fighting against the existence of God, the atheists destroy the existence of satan. Do not they feel sorry for the horned?

The famous F. N. sentence "God is dead, we killed Him." means the convertion into atheism.
But if God is "killed" in your soul, then the satan is killed there as well. So, the question arises: would atheists feel sorrow on the grave of satan? The death of satan is the unwilling byproduct of the hunt against God?

I think you overestimate the authority and effect of the atheists, and I doubt very much if they would know Satan if he walked up and shook their hands.

Most (not all) atheists deny the existence of *all* supernatural beings. Why should we feel sorry for a mythical being?

I fail to understand the reasoning that some Christians have that just because one lacks belief in supernatural beings that it is his/her life mission to destroy Christians' beliefs in supernatural beings or the beings themselves.

You first have to remember this is a group who genuinly believes the Bible is real, literal, and apparent and obvious as being accurate. To deny god is to not only deny what they believe everyone knows (much in the same vain as Islam), but to deny reality itself. I've never heard the claim of destroying Satan, but the lack of belief tends to make atheists the "uber baddies" of Evangelical/Conservative circles.
ETA: Being an atheist is considered such an affront to their religion and god that they even claim that "god doesn't believe in atheists."

If the atheists succeeded in destroying Satan, then they should be the ultimate heroes of the Xians.

There is a both of both God and Satan in every human beings, it is called Good virtue (God), Evil thoughts ( Satan), Honesty (God) Lies and decieve (Satan) And so on.

Meaning every Good Action, thoughts and word spoken that is of Good nature is from God or being of pure good.

Every thought, words, and action of evil intention ( to benefit once own ego) come from the Satan part of humans.

To become fully good one cultivate the spiritual path of God, Buddha, Dao and so on
To devlop the evil side and to be pure evil one cultivate the Satan part with in,

That would have to be pretty embarrassing to god. If atheists destroy Satan, does this avert Armageddon and who "end times" thing? You can't have prophecy happen if one of the key players is dead.

"Destruction of satan" is destruction of the human belief in his existence.

In dharmic faiths, especially monistic ones, God exists, but Satan doesn't. It's only in the faiths based on good/evil, pairs of opposites, that duality, that this is a reality.

We (monists) may speak of God, but we never even think of Satan.

    Good point.

I believe in God but not in a Manichean-like opposite called satan.
