There are interviews with John Cleese about this show. It is pretty interesting to hear what his motives were behind the humor.

I've always enjoyed watching Fawlty Towers. My father got me into it. There is something funny about an Englishman who claimed to have learned Classical Spanish and trying to run a hotel.

Anyway, at the moment, I have stubble on my face. I haven't shaved in two or three days, and it's disgusting! :tongueout:

Hubby gave up the razor when the pandemic began. Keeps it a #1 with a beard trimmer.

He trims about every 10 days and used to say "great. I feel like a new man" until i replied "so do i"

One of the many classic series, but where so few episodes were made unfortunately. So many contrived plots and so much amusement, and so much offence that many scenes might cause now - as for much of past humour.

It was great comedy for the time, the bbc however have removed the “Germans” episode as offensive “don’t mention the war”,pc gone to far imo.

There were two other British shows I remember does anyone remember Some Mothers Do 'Ave 'Em or On the Buses. They were both just as funny as Faulty Towers.
