Favorite news comics?

an anarchist

Your local anarchist.
I'm not sure if "news comics" is the right phrase. But you know, comics that are or were in newspapers, or of like nature.

What's your favorite? Calvin and Hobbes is mine. Had a few books worth of those comics as a kid.

Calvin and Hobbs is great. A couple more that come to mind: Frank and Ernest, and The far side.

Edit: and Bloom county.
