Has anyone else ever had any extraordinary thoughts they’ve experienced that they’d like to share?
Thoughts that stuck out from your usual thoughts, that made you stop and think?
I have:
I was praying when suddenly a powerful thought popped into my head:
People cannot become God but God can become people
I know it’s kind of obvious but thought I’d share it anyway
And the funny thing is, it didn’t feel like one of my usual thoughts. It felt extraordinary. It stood out from all my usual thoughts.
This made me think: If people tried to be good humans as much as they tried to be Godly humans then the world would be a much, much better place!
It also (I'm writing from a Christian perspective) made me think that although we humans cannot hope to be just like God (due to human nature) we can try to resemble Jesus, who is God in human form. And although we can never be just like him we can work towards resembling him more than we would otherwise do so...
This gave me a sense of spiritual enthusiasm – that although I can never be as good as Jesus I can aspire to be more like him and behave accordingly, and in so doing hopefully become a better human (as opposed to Godly) if only marginally so. And in so doing hopefully make the world a better place for others. And therefore become a positive influence on our planet. Which is all I've ever wanted to be!
