For those of you who haven't been here forever, @Mister Emu was one of Religiousforum.com's earliest members, having joined in September 2004 just a few months after RF went live on the internet.

He's also been a staff member for almost his entire time here, which makes him the active staff member with the most tenure.

Earlier this week Mister Emu let the staff know that he'd be returning to active duty in the mod rooms, which is always good news for everybody.

Since @Mister Emu hasn't been all that active in the forums for a while we thought it would be a good idea to re-introduce him so he can get acquainted with some of our newer members and visa versa.

Thanks for offering to help out again, Mister Emu. Glad to have you back! :)

Ooo, I feel like a debutante.

But, where's my pretty dress @Quagmire, I. DON'T. HAVE. A. PRETTY. DRESS.

Thank you, everyone. As @Quagmire notes, I've been a member for almost 17 years now, and I think a moderator for around 16 of that. RF has a spot that is near and dear to my heart, it's been a big influence on my spiritual development (talking with Catholics here helped me in my journey home to Rome), and I'm happy to still be able to provide some service to the site that has provided so much for me.

If I don't know you and you're a regular, I'm sorry. I look forward to seeing you out in the field as it were. If you're a regular and I do know you, then I'm really sorry.

Well, I'm going to be more active as a mod. Which, I haven't been for several years now.

How about...
Not off to a good start, sirrah.
