Everthing and Nothing

Skimming through the script of one of my favourite movies, Event Horizon', I came across some lines which fit in with some of my thinking. Now as I've already said, God is everywhere present in the laws of psychics, but is nowhere to be found by man. I quote a few lines:

" WEIR
" Do you know what a singularity is,
Miller? Does your mind truly fathom
what a black hole is?
(beat)
It is NOTHING. Absolute and eternal
NOTHING. And if God is Everything,
then I have seen the Devil.
(a dead man's grin)
It's a liberating experience."

If there is a devil, it is the cold dark emptiness of space, The same darkness that exists in all human life. Everything and Nothing, the cosmic truth. Weir is a scientist who designed the Event Horizon and Miller is the captain of the rescue ship, the Lewis and Clark.

Cheers
