Even with the Best Possible Words, is Religion Doomed to Failure?

Within reality, for every action there is an equal & opposite reaction; so though some people will follow a religion, others will go the opposite.

Since any organized system of belief, will cause some opposites; is it better to leave everyone to their own devices, like the Tao suggests...

Yet in that none response, won't some fill that void with a made up religion...

Thus been thinking about a multiple sided boxing-ring style religion; that makes people wake up through extreme contrasts.

Like make them question:

• Advaita (Monism) Vs Dvaita (Dualism)...
• Free atonement Vs Sacrifice...
• Self Vs Soul...
• God being 0 Vs 1...

Will be grateful for any other intellectual ideas for contrasts?

Also what do you think, is it possible to educate through extreme contrast?

What do you think the results would be?

"Religions" IMO are generally organized belief systems which promulgate faith-based dogmas (on all sorts of subjects, like you pointed out).

The "faith-based" part is what dooms most religions to failure.

• Belief vs works
• (probably many many more)

"make them question" - you can't make anyone question.

"education through extreme contrast" - from my perspective that happens through many lifetimes where the being is born to take one position and then in a following life the opposite. In one lifetime? Perhaps in rare cases some are ready but for most - no.

We find that when people read religious texts, we often find a lot who seem to take it to be personal, as they've read it.

It could be a religion of contrasts, where people try to find more clever ways to see the opposites.
