You hear of the end of the world in various religions but what really triggers it in reality? Gee, I wonder..........

Ahh. I can already envisage our sci fi esque atomic dystopian future. I’m hoping it’s like the Fallout Series (Fallout 76 was bad though.)

What do you mean by end of the world?

End of humanity or end of this ball of rock that humanity claims as their own.

The earth/world will last much longer than humanity who have numerous methods to cause mass extinction of themselves and most life. If one of these doesn't end us then maybe some earth born natural disaster, a super covid for example.

If we manage to get through a couple of billion years then it appears entropy will take care of life anyway. New(ish) hypothesis suggests the amount of time that conditions are right for life in this universe is finite.

    And the ball of rock...
Baring some catastrophic calamity such as a rogue planet using earth as a pool ball first then the andromeda galaxy and our milky will collide and gravitational forces will totally rearrange the resulting new galaxy, i doubt life could survive. Approximately the same time our sun will run out of fuel, go red giant and destroy earth. I don't think whichever comes first will actually matter.

Assuming by some collossal stroke of luck that earth manages to avoid destruction metered out by an uncaring universe then heat death of the universe itself will be the ultimate end

The mortality of humans is what I think triggers that belief.

right now religion runs amuck all over the earth . its true both in so called Christion faith's and pagan belief it has caused war and backed war for thousands of years.
the many that run the governments dont like the adversity that develops when religion contradicts and would lead the people a different way or would have say over government of the people. which is stronger ?? we have all ready seen ,because of the coved thing, that church meetings could be stopped . with that in minded governmental laws could do it again .
it will happen again to the point of making it illegal to worship anything other than government. that brings about peace and security for all.
so , where is the problem ?? God does not care about false religion. he does care about a faith that does fallow his direction. when government does try to stop the faith of his favor , that is what triggers the end.

In other words, even if that were to happen, God would still not care about that government religion.

    Please answer these questions.

    1. Do you worship your God or your church?

    2. If you're a Christian, do you agree or disagree that making the sacrifice of not having church meetings for now and prevent the risk of spreading the virus to others, is in aligned with "love thy neighbor"?

    3. And wouldn't it be the opposite of that if you are willing to risk the life of your neighbors because of your selfishness in wanting church meetings?

    4. If God cares about faith that follows his direction, then wouldn't be in favor of the government doing that? (A test for the believers and the pretenders)

So God cares more about Earthly government affairs than the faith of his worshippers?

Is your faith in God that weak that you will turn your faith in favor of your government over your God?

If the government makes it illegal to worship anything other than the government, does it only take you three times of denying God for you to abandon your faith and become an atheist?
the government is able to turn your

That's in the short term, a matter of centuries or so.

What I was thinking about was the fact that the sun will run out of hydrogen iirc in about 3 or 4 billion years but long before than in say, just a billion years the sun will heat up to the point that life as we know it will simply not function. Much later of course the universe will 'evaporate' into nothingness.

the End will bring about the end of false religion and the end of man made government in favor of God's own government . you may hate that. if so you will find your self fighting against God .
do ya in all honesty think you can prevail against the all mighty God ?

is God under some obligation that just because some one pretends to offer up worship that he is obligated to except it ? no not at all
    matthew 7:
21 “Not everyone saying to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter into the Kingdom of the heavens, but only the one doing the will of my Father who is in the heavens will. 22 Many will say to me in that day: ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and expel demons in your name, and perform many powerful works in your name?’ 23 And then I will declare to them: ‘I never knew you! Get away from me, you workers of lawlessness!’

I was thinking It seems to all work in cycles.

A sun rises gives light for a day and sets for a period when the light of the sun is no longer seen. This cycle seems to be reflected throughout all levels of creation.

In the end, there appears that there is always a sun to shine and there is always those that are aware of that Sun, in one way or another.

A creator without a creation can not be conceived.

    Good to see you. :)

    Regards Tony

That is quoting a lot of what Baha'u'llah offered.

What you offered in the next post then becomes applicable.

Each new day we get totally different sunlight showing us a totally different world, but somehow we need to remember it's the same world & the same sun.

    Doesn't that sound simple?

Scientists claim that 99% of all species that ever existed on Earth are extinct. I don't know how they know that, but well there it is. There were four mass extinctions before the dinosaurs even got clobbered. We may be accelerating this (sixth) extinction, though I don't believe we are wholly responsible for it. We had nothing to do with the previous five, after all. Maybe not even as much as we think (fear?) we are responsible for this one. Bhumidevi has an uncanny way of recovering and healing. I hope there is a turnaround, but I fear there won't be. At the very least continental drift will alter the climate and cause mass extinctions. The interior of Pangaea became a desert, killing anything and everything unlucky enough to still live there. :(

Extinction occurs all the time in nature. That’s just the way it is.
But humans have accelerated much of it due to our interference with nature, be it deforestation, climate change or just being destructive idiots.
Whether or not we should be sad about that is up to the individual I suppose.
