Yes, there are those who disagree with her politics, and, yes, there are those who disagree with the viability of her proposed plans. Fine.

But does anyone truly believe that a male version of Elizabeth Warren would not be running well ahead of the likes of Biden, Buttigieg, and Klobuchar? And this is but one example of a pervasive problem.

I get so tired of seeing roadblocks impede talent for reasons that are drop dead stupid.

No, I don't think a male Warren would fare better.
But I do think a female Biden would do worse than the male one.
    It's all highly subjective.

Note that Hillary had the highest popular vote in the last election.
So being female doesn't create an aluminum oxynitride ceiling.
(ALOX is transparent aluminum...a stronger barrier than the old glass ceiling.)

It's not sexist; it's the American Political system and the American people who value how a candidate looks and sounds on camera.

Or.....it's all sexist, with both advantages & disadvantages for being one
gender or the other. People gotta learn to play to their own strengths.
It will be unfair....not just regarding gender, but also race, age, party,
experience, military service, appearance, voice, & social skills.

    Interesting.

True, but I cannot tell you haw many people I've talked to 'learned' from that experience that Hillary fell short in part because of her sex, and that, therefore, running a woman is a liability.

    Thanks. (I think.)

These 'roadblocks' work because of voter apathy. Decisions are made according to soundbites, tweets etc. instead of actually checking ones record which might take a little effort in finding the truth.

Hmmm...you sayin' a female Biden would fit the stereotypical mold of a 'ditzy bald...er...blond'?

And transparent aluminum? The Devil you say. Well, I guess that would take the mystery of those years old packages in my freezer...

Actually, that likely makes the assertion accurate. People love Trump's branding, so find his look and voice appealing. (As hard as it is to understand to those who don't value the same aesthetics.)

Actually, his policies looked better, so there is that.

How would it have gone if Elizabeth Warren delivered the same speeches and advocated the same policies?

Imagine her saying "We will build a wall and Mexico is going to pay for it."

The posters on this thread all value logic. That's an impediment when trying to understand much of the U.S.'s voters.

Hm...there really is no way of knowing. I will add something else to think about. Imagine Trump advocating her policies during his campaign. Would he have still been elected?

We knew this would happen as they need all the help they can get. No, fauxcahontas is failing all on her own in a fractured democratic landscape.

That’s the kind of nuanced political commentary that keeps me coming back to RF.
And maybe it solves the problem of a big transparent Faraday cage.

People like those who they can relate to. So for many, being a belligerent boor is a bonus. Decorum and integrity are for "soyboy cucks." Instead of draining "the swamp", it has instead overflowed into America's cultural backwaters, creating a churning morass that the rest of America is slowly sinking into.
