If it is elective, otherwise no.
Would rather people have access to abortion than get stuck with the medical cost in an international medical emergency where emergency hospital access is limited and emergency situations can happen any time.
Us mortality for pregnant and postpartum women is crazy high already. Far and above other countries.
What makes a surgery "elective" is the ability to postpone it without adverse
consequences. Abortion does have a limited window of opportunity, after
which the malady (birth) happens. To deny the surgery is to deny the right.
So it's not elective as a boob job, tummy tuck, pec implant,or face lift are.

I'm all about the abortion.
I know so many tragedies, ie, people
whose mothers should've had the procedure.

In my view, it's an intrusion on life by modern technologies. Something unnatural -so I have no interest in supporting it in any way. But that's just my opinion on the matter.
"Natural" & "unnatural" are highly subjective things,
very often driven by religious myths. I give them no
weight in this matter.
Hell, surgery, anesthesia, & sterile operating rooms
are "unnatural". You wouldn't do without those, eh.
Also cars, computers, internet, TV, air conditioning,
electric power......I'm starting to really like unnatural.

Those things are fine. They're positive things. But abortion just feels wrong. For whatever reason, it seems negative.
Meanwhile in Ohio the Attorney General is threatening to prosecute abortion clinics that violate its ban on elective surgeries which, in that state, does include abortions.
