I seriously doubt the U.S. or any other highly developed nation has stolen any significant amounts of edible insects from any undeveloped poor nation. I'd be nice if there were plenty of steaks and lobsters for everybody, but even I can't afford to devour these fine dining food items for every meal; however, there's enough highly nutritious edible insects to end world hunger.

    Insects as food - Wikipedia

How can anybody feel sorry for people who are too lazy to simply capture and consume some nutritious edible insects that'd provide them with enough nourishment to have a thriving subsistence economy?

    ... :/

Not to be too personal and I'm not trying to be mean, but have you ever been tested for autism or anything like that? I'm asking because I notice a pattern with you where you appear to not understand human behavior that should be obvious and lack empathy. That doesn't make you a bad person. I have friends like that (but it's caused by a condition other than autism). It should not be a mystery why people wouldn't want to eat insects all the time.

Ah, that explains a lot of things. I suspected you may be on the spectrum. No worries. One of my friends has similar symptoms but that's due to their schizophrenia (the "negative symptoms") so I have experience with that. I actually suspected that they were autistic at first but that's not it in their case. I'll keep that in mind when it comes to your posts in the future.

China still uses developing nation status and is the worst polluter in the world.

Yes, China is up there. It's kind of in its own category as regards first or third world.

China more or less is a developed nation. It uses developing status as the UN gives aid, lowers standards and give preferred treatment due to said status. Standard gaming the system.

Ants and locusts are fine food sources, of course, but aren't plentiful enough to sustain large populations. Nature just does not produce enough food to sustain large populations. That's why hunter-gatherers usually migrate periodically to sustain themselves, as regional food sources become scarce. That's why farming and pastoralism were invented.
This sounds like a hugely complex and expensive engineering feat, dwarfing past engineering marvels like the Panama canal.
It would be far easier to fix Earth than to create a new one.

Humans being a multi-planetary species ensures homo sapiens don't become extinct from a planetary disaster beyond humankind's control ...i.e. - a giant asteroid impact on Earth, massive volcanic eruption, worldwide plague, rogue nuclear destruction. etc and etc.

I agree the Earth's biosphere should be extended around Earth, but why stop there. The Heavens are ours for the taking.

The biggest threat to human survival is humans themselves. We're a planetary infection and seem to be killing out host. Of course, we're quite adept at killing ourselves off directly, as well.

There's a specific detailed plan to terraform Mars that is very achievable with near future affordable interplanetary rocket powered transportation technology....see this thread's post #8
