What is a country? Is it people or land? I think it's a nation of people first and the land they own is just a resource. I guess I should have said I love the people of America more than Biden for the sake of clarity.

Whatever happened to Christians being submissive to their government? That was a very popular Bible passage among conservative Christians during Trump's administration, but it's been conveniently forgotten by these Christians since Joe Biden was elected.

As a democratic republic we the people are the ultimate government. It's our duty to be involved in politics.

Who is your neighbor? Is it every person living in America, or is it just the Americans who vote Republican?

So, Christians are only supposed to be submissive to the government when it agrees with their political views? Is that in the Bible?

"In egopathy we deprecate others and are concerned only with ourselves."

Have you looked at this thread?

From the left (somebody got called a cry baby in one comment):
Good! We are winning! Go Democrats."
    "Oh, give it a rest."
"You know, every time I read a post by these anti-liberal conservatives, all I hear is... "Wah Wa Wa Wah Wa Wa."
"As a Christian, if you had a genuine moral problem with liars, then you wouldn't politically support Trump or any other GOP politician."
" it's a really bad witness for a Christian to disparage an elderly person (or anyone else) for their mental or physical health."

From the right (non-stop character assassination):
"She typifies the modern Democrat. Clueless, power hungry, and annoying!"
"I'm thinking kickbacks lays somewhere as well"
"She's a paid liar. They chose an actor. They want someone to act and lie for them."
"Jen Psaki is another paid liar. I can see they eat their own soul everyday for a paycheck."
"It's all about leftists blocking information that exposes the truth about their agenda. "
"Senility is the best defense to maintain 'truthfulness' in one's waning presidential years."
"Kerry was a traitor. Obama's birth certificate is irrelevant. Hillary was and still is corrupt."
"Biden took money from foreign governments through his son while he was VP."

These are obviously two very different kinds of people.

We submit to God first of all. There is no Bible passage that says you should submit to human government over divine government. In any case being involved in politics and debating politics is democracy as I pointed out and is not unsubmissive. Where are you getting the idea that I'm unsubmissive to the government? Am I committing a crime?

What I meant is that rightists do not want to silence anybody, on average. They do not want to censor anyone.

Everyone on earth is really your neighbor. I myself am not a Republican. I'm an independent.

You seem to think there is a lot of hate from Republicans. I would say anger has increased on both sides. But I see more intolerance and bigotry from the political left.

"Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God. 2 Consequently, whoever rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves. 3 For rulers hold no terror for those who do right, but for those who do wrong. Do you want to be free from fear of the one in authority? Then do what is right and you will be commended. 4 For the one in authority is God’s servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for rulers do not bear the sword for no reason. They are God’s servants, agents of wrath to bring punishment on the wrongdoer. 5 Therefore, it is necessary to submit to the authorities, not only because of possible punishment but also as a matter of conscience." - Romans 13:1-5

Natalie Maines and the other two Chicks will disagree with your claim that the Right doesn't want to censor anyone.

I'm quite familiar with the passage but you haven't answered my questions.

My answer to your first question: your attitude. Your second question: Not that I'm aware of.

There is no law about attitude in America nor should there be.
Then you have no basis on which to claim I go against Romans 13.

Often times, what someone posts on a forum can reveal what they're like in real life.

We then have QAnon conspiracies about a stolen election and Trump fanning the flames about how the election was stolen from him.

    Hmm...sounds like there's a downside

Yes, and it happens on both sides of the political aisle. It isn't just a Democratic problem as it's been implied by others in this thread.

As an ex-conservative and registered Republican, I've endured hate from Republicans since Trump hoodwinked the GOP in 2015. I've been accused of being anti-American, anti-Christian, and demon-possessed. I was told that I was possessed by a demon and that's what caused me to vote for Biden, and apparently I'm going to burn in hell for all eternity because I voted for him. Not only have I been called demon-possessed, but I have been called evil incarnate, Satan's minion, a "child of the devil," and a "Demon Rat." I was also called a "f***ing b*tch" and a traitor to my country. To add insult to injury, I was ostracized by my Trump-loving extended family and excluded from a family reunion. I was later told that it upset my relatives that I voted for Biden, and it was best for all concerned if I didn't show up. Lastly, I've witnessed other ex-conservatives being verbally attacked by other conservatives, mostly Trumpsters.

In the 26 years I was a conservative and a registered Republican, I never witnessed or experienced any liberal viciously degrading other people to the same level as I witnessed and experienced from other conservatives. I grew up in a white conservative home and in a predominantly white conservative town, and I heard black people being called the N word practically all the time. In fact, there weren't any black people living in this town. Other than a few Native Americans, there weren't any POC living in this town, and Native Americans were often called racist slurs. As I've shared before, I have Native American ancestry, and because I have red hair and light skin, I was called a half-breed and told that my Indian blood was dirty. I was told that I couldn't be a Christian and embrace my Indian heritage at the same time. I was also told that the entire worth of Indians could be found at the bottom of a whiskey bottle.

As a young adult, I began to accept and embrace my native heritage, but it came with a price. I began to experience a lot of hostility from some of the white conservative Christians I knew. I wasn't surprised by their racism because I grew up around it, but it was painful and upsetting to experience it firsthand. So, I firmly disagree with your claim that the left is more intolerant than the right.
