Dualism or ...?

The idea that the universe is divided between to equal halves. The light and the dark is an ancient idea. But it has led people to erroneous conclusions. They believe that they can serve either the light or the darkness. Or in fact that they can follow a "balanced" path. The whole concept of the ying yang etc.

The idea is flawed because I've come to understand that the whole universe is upheld by the Word of God which is in it's most elemental form: Light. As the first thing recorded that God said was "Let there be Light" and God proceeded to make all things and all the ages of the world in the light of God --in six days-- which a day is a period of light. So God's Light shown in 6 moments and each instance something was created. Nothing was made in the darkness and darkness is inherently against all things that are held together by the Word of God.

So then why is there darkness and where does it come from? It is there because things have strayed from the Word of God. Darkness, evil is unsustainable and will not last. It is allowed by the will of God to show and prove to all creatures that the Light is good. To highlight the light and to prove beyond doubt that evil is darkness and not good. For God is Light and in Him is no darkness at all.

This is the will of the Most High God and this was His directive. But He has also directed that all of this darkness will have an end. So it is not infinite like the Light is; but will be destroyed. Then there will be infinite Light that stretches on.

So, I came to understand we have not reached the 7th day of creation yet. Because on the 7th day God rests from all His work and every thing is finished and pronounced good. Then why does God still work? Then why does evil still exist? So, we are awaiting the 7th day when creation will rest. And there is no recorded 8th night. For the Light will shine into infinity.

As every womb is dark and as a woman has pain in child bearing. So then the creation of God is in darkness and pain currently; but will be born in the Light and there will be joy. But it cannot be without the darkness coming first. That is the real dualism.

Eyes can only see the light and they cannot see darkness. So God's will is that you follow the light.

Light; white, and darkness; black, are opposites. These contrast each other. Gray, is a blend of white and black. Light gray can appear white, if we place a light gray color chip on a pure black background. The contrast of white and black, will cause the pure black to wash our the partial black in the gray, to create the impression that the gray is white, even though this gray is partial darkness.

For example, say you lived in the ancient times where people were very cruel toward other humans and killing was the way of the land. This type of culture is the dark or black backgorund. One day you see a person who beats someone, but spares his life. His action is not black, but gray, because it was a blend of evil and good. Because it appears merciful, in contrast to the darkness of he status quo, it looks white. Absolute light and dark is not clear cut, since nobody is perfectly good or perfectly evil. Dark gray can look black if placed against a pure white background. The goodness will be washed out.

Another example if we learn from our mistakes. The mistakes provide a dark background of suffering, lack and want. From this black or dark gray background ;memories, even a light gray circumstance; although not perfect, can seem like white paradise.

In Genesis, the universe was originally formless and void; darkness came before light. Light appears from the void of darkness. Light symbolizes consciousness or the conscious mind. Conscious awareness appears from the contrast of darkness; unconscious mind, where light gray can appear white.

Knowledge of good and evil; law, is based on the same principle. Law differentiates good from evil behavior, often by setting a background of darkness. This defines the need for the law. For example, a drug or alcohol taboo begins with everyone sitting at the round table, worrying about the worse case scenarios, as though Murphy's law will suddenly come in affect. This worse case scenario; dark backdrop, makes the gray law. appear lighter than it is.

This dark imaginary backdrop can even make the self righteous think that abusing the violators is white, due to the contrast to their own inner darkness. For example, the Salem Witch trials was considered righteous; white, due to the active imagination of the self righteous generating a personal dark background of worse case scenarios; self righteous light appears from this darkness. This is all connected to law or knowledge of good and evil and how it impacts the brain.

Too many people assume there is absolute light and darkness, and nothing in the middle. But most behavior and choice is gray. The two extremes help to create relative light and relative darkness. This middle layer of contrasted gray, is the reason faith superseding law; law being done away with. This helps the brain removes the dark contrast generator; law, that creates relative white and black, out of gray.
