This is in reference to my other thread (Is the republican party suffering a complete moral collapse?).

You can skip ahead in this short video to 3:20, but really, I think it better to listen to the whole 4 minutes. My favourite quotes, from a devout Trumpist, are: "We need a dictatorship. We need to take control of the media, take control of the government, force the people to believe what we believe, or force them to play by our rules."

    What a whack job!

There comes a time, I say to all Americans, when the only thing really left for you to do, to try and return some semblance of sanity to your political dialogue, is for everybody, and I mean everybody, from Mitch McConnell and and Kevin McCarthy on down, to simply laugh these idiots off the stage and out of the room. That, sheer derision, is the only thing that will truly make them go away.

It's time for the right to stop pretending to value freedom and democracy.

Oh, I'm sure they value those things --- they just define them a bit differently than you and I do.

Maybe Nick Fuentes will be Trumps running mate in 2024.

(this is a common moniker for Fuentes in some circles on the internet. Not being American I can only comment on the memes lol.)

Oh, think about it! America could go from a great country to the garbage in mere moments!

I actually think our American friends did a better job in the recent mid-terms of rejecting bat-guano crazy candidates than in recent memory.

So...regardless of how successful whack jobs like this are within their own echo chambers...I have more faith in the American voting public than I've had in years.

It's interesting to see how Trump is evolving as his influence and importance wanes. He has nothing to offer America or his base so he is trying to get attention in any way he can. He's doing pretty well in polls still, but I doubt those who would support him for president again are aware of many of these dumb things he's doing and saying. Trump's more fringe base will likely approve of these dinner guests, and the more moderate won't care. I don't see these tactics by Trump to pay off in any way, and likely will damage any support by prominent republicans. Donald John who?

The conservative culture will do whatever their media handlers tell them to do. Period.

I can only laugh at things which I find funny. I do try to take a light-hearted approach to politics when I can, at least when it's presented to the people for mass consumption.

Yes, some people do think along these lines. I've seen it before, and there are times when it does come off as rather humorous.

It is pathetic how desperate the left is to associate this guy with Trump. Trump didn't invite the guy. Trump didn't know who he was when he showed up. This story has no legs.

It's pathetic how desperate you are to disassociate Trump, and how willing you are to believe such nonsense. More than pathetic, it's shameful.

So, do you blindly believe everything you hear on Fox?

This is not the first anti-Semitic association that Trump has had or mouthed, and it's a wonder why you don't even seem to much care. Kanye West has long been known as being anti-Semitic and he has met with Trump numerous times.

Plain fact of the matter is this: Trump is a former President of the U.S., and running to be President again. There was no necessity for him to allow Fuentes to sit at his special table, and every reason why a sensible politician would not do so without a proper vetting of who the heck he is. This incredibly lax behaviour on the part of Trump is characteristic of the man and his insatiable need for any kind of publicity.

And anyone who thinks that an unvetted stranger can just saunter in and have lunch with with this narcissist is ...

... never mind. Some folks tend to blindly and brazenly justify what they value.

You don't know what you are talking about as evidenced by your claiming that I listen to Fox. I don't. I don't listen to or watch Fox.

President Trump is far from an anti-Semite. Quite the opposite he is a Judeophile. He brought about the Abrahamic Accords bringing peace between Israel and many of its former adversaries. He moved the U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem. And recently he received the Theodor Herzl Gold Medallion from the Zionist Organization of America, its highest honor and one rarely given.

If it were under similar circumstances I would have no problem with it. But President Biden has done many other things I do question as related to Jews and Israel.
