Does vampirism lead to immortal behaviour?

I believe morality is subjective. Since vampires aren't human, and require blood to survive, I think they are not morally obligated to abstain from blood, the same way humans do not often abstain from meat. However, being a higher intelligence species, I think vampires have the capacity to feed on humans in ethical ways. Perhaps free-range farms.

Please re-read the title. You may have missed a "t".

I think it depends on how long beings with the capacity to produce the type of blood necessary to sustain them exists. Even artificial production could cease if vampires cannot obtain the right components, so immortality isn't guaranteed.

The way i eat my steak (and steak tartare) means i am sometimes called a vampire. I don't think I'd want to be immortal
