Does anyone believe in Evolution anymore?

It seems that the more we learn as scientific and archaeological finds come to light, the less people believe in Evolution. Scientist and Darwinism tell us that life on earth evolved gradually beginning with one primitive species, their not really sure how, and it made new and diverse species. But yet there are no not one piece of evidence found of a gradual change from a "self-replicating molecule" to all the different species. There are no evidence of gradualism or that later species should have traits that make them look like the descendants of earlier ones. We don't find a fish changing to land crawler or a lizard changing to bird, there nothing that would show the lineage of any species.

Evolution along with the 'Big Bang' idea are losing the people as more evidence comes to light. How could the universe just appear out of nothing, and be spinning in all different tangents rather than one way as they should, or the universe be larger than we can even chart in such a short time. Scientist scramble to come up with another way or adjustment to the theory. but the more they try, the more convoluted it becomes. Many of these ideas of man are being discovered to be unsupported, or no longer seem to have any validity with people today

Actually, based on polls there is an increase in the belief and support for evolution in part with the increase in the evidence, and education, but unfortunately churches like the Seventh Day Adventists still rely on mythology and live in the distint past rejecting evolution and an ancient earth.

Except that we *do* find exactly such animals in the fossil record. We actually *do* see dinosaurs with feathers that were ancestors to modern birds. We *do* have fossils of teansitional forms between 'fish' and 'land crawlers'. For that matter, we have *modern* species that bridge that gap.

And yes, among the scientific community that studies these questions in detail, the support for evolution is universal.

First, evolution and the Big Bang have nothing to do with each other. One is biology, the other is cosmology. The evidence for the two is different and independent.

The Big Bang has been amply supported by the evidence from the cosmic background radiation, which has allowed the development of precision cosmology over the last decade or two.

Far from being under stress, the overall BB scenario is focusing more on details now that we have the evidence to test our previous questions.

You show one misconception: the universe did NOT 'appear out of nothing'. There was no time when there was 'nothing'. In other words, whenever there was time, there was matter, energy, and space.

Why is this not in the humour section?

The scientists cannot find a single line of species with a evolutionary pattern, they just appear. Here is a good sire to check out. Species Variation | Breed Selection | Hybridization

It isn't even clear what you mean by the phrase 'single species with an evolutionary pattern'.

Such patterns would occur *between* different species, not within a single species.

And we *do* find collections of species showing 'evolutionary patterns'.

Yea, it is written in the Book of Cyril...

*fingers to temples* I predict... a... "yeah, but where are the intermediate forms BETWEEN the intermediate forms?" PRATT

Religious websites with an anti-science agenda is not a valid academic source. No reputable scientist is referenced as the author, and the only citations are unethical misrepresentations of the articles cited.

I suggest strong evidence of evolutionary processes is the recent development on an entirely new species of hominid - internet trolls. :D

It's truly a shame that some denominations use their dogmas as a set of blinders to reality. I grew up in a church that did as such and left it in my 20's because any church/denomination that rejects such well-established science as the ToE is, has abandoned any hope of acquiring Truth.

If any religion or denomination is to be valid, it must accept known science, imo.
