Life is a weird ride to say the least. It seems the older I become, the more enjoyable life becomes. I don't know. I suppose I'm curious where everyone else is on this thing called life.

nothing personal......just obviousYou don't know me, in any sense, so I'll thank you not to tell me what I am.

I could have seen myself writing something very similar.Same here. It only happened because I became self sufficient in my happiness. I don't socialise as well, so I have have eliminated the complexity of other people's emotions and manipulation out of my life which surprisingly took away a lot of the misery out of it too. All I need are either books, art equipment, tv series and video games (and obviously the bear necessities as the wise Baloo once sang) and I am super happy. I am actually much happier than most people I know. Or should I rather say content than happy.....?
so.....now that you're old......Bingo.
so.....now that you're old......
you play bingo
Perhaps the whole point is just to be here?A sense that much of what we do here is pointless. A mild to moderate sense of dukkha pervades my existence.
And if you didn't have those people in your life, would it still be good?To the question of the OP, my answer is yep! Got good friends, a great wife, close children & grandchildren, and I keep very busy.
I agree....Life is a weird ride to say the least. It seems the older I become, the more enjoyable life becomes. I don't know. I suppose I'm curious where everyone else is on this thing called life.

Having been married 51+ years, I agree.I agree....
Sometimes I say that the golden 50th anniversary year is golden because you have finally dug a whole lot of dirt, removed it, refined it by the fire of difficulties and now you can enjoy the 24 carrot gold of life.
