@JustGeorge posted some things I really needed to hear that caused me to canonize Helena Farrell on George's birthday 9/25/2021, and I called it the Feast of Saint Helena Farrell , who I nicknamed Sophia (or Athena) Greek Goddess and personifications of wisdom.

George said a Feral cat named Helen followed her home. I used to spell Farrell Feral. I went to the nursing station and heard the staff say " did you find Josh.". The response was " no , I found him".

I thought it meant Helena Farrell found me, I didn't find her. Like Helen the Feral cat found George.

Then I prayed for a man on the feast of Helena ( nickname Sophia), and a man tells me to pray for his daughter "Sophia".

I told him the story and he wept.

We then prayed for his deceased Mother "Jean". The next day @ChristineM told me about a wasp in "holy Jeans."

I told him that could be a sign she is "Saint Jean, Holy Jean" in Heaven". He teared up again and we talked and prayed for a while.

And his daughter's name is "Sophia" , middle name "Jean". The next day I find a "Pisces" lighter, and I told the guy I was walking with, "maybe this is a sign from Helena Farrell , and she is a Pisces".

I googled her birthday and it was February 20th Pisces. I couldn't believe it.

So yes, I believe God, Angels, ghosts, Spirits, and Kami influence posts at RF. :)

    You're the best @JustGeorge!

I'd like to give you a bad time sometimes, but I don't want to break the rules :p.

You're probably highly favored beyond what you think. :) Durga and the wise benevolent Kami (Divinities) usually favor simple ordinary people who don't do anything extraordinary but do little things with great love and make an offering of everything they do.

I don't consider you ordinary though. Not at all actually. :D

Therese of Liseux did only the most ordinary chores and died age 24, too inept to be a missionary.

The Pope made her " Patron Saint of Missionaries " and declared her "greatest Saint of modern times", because she did those little things with such great love and devotion to God.

It was also because of how many miracles were attributed to her after her death.

Saint Philomena has many miracles attributed to her and confraternities in her honor, and she didn't work her first miracle until hundreds of years after her death.

She was virtually unknown for centuries. Then miracles began happening at her tomb.

You could be a Hindu Therese or Philomena some day. :)

My nine nights with Durga this year were splendid , but didn't contain the many signs as last time I observed Navratari, but our faith doesn't hinge on signs.

Faith is sometimes more pleasing and pure without them, when our faith is tested.

    Hang in there comrade. ;)

I like you not in spite of your unacceptable manners but because of them. :p.

    And other reasons too ;)

I encourage you in giving me a bad time! I am known to be pretty rough to my favorites... I had a roommate once that I got along great with. We were out somewhere with some other people, and I was stringing insults at her, and she just sat there with a smug smile. Someone said to her "it doesn't bother you that she says that about you?" She just said "she's only rude to me because she loves me!" She wasn't wrong. Few dish it back at me, though.

    I sure hope so. :)

I actually know of Saint Philomena! We placed a picture of her in the dining room. She helped me to get my friend to come over. My friend underwent some changes, and got really reclusive and stopped visiting. She's an ex-Catholic(she's a Pagan now), but still enjoys Catholicism. I read something about the Feast of St. Philomena, and it was coming up, so I decided to throw a feast for her and invite my friend because I knew it would interest her. It did, and my friend did come to see me again.

She helped me find my puppy, too! It got loose when I was cooking the feast(Ares let all the dogs out). We'd only had her a week, and we didn't think we'd see her again, but after I said a prayer, she was located.

I'm glad you enjoyed Navaratri! I didn't have any explosive signs, either, but I felt a lot more 'connected' to her, and a lot stronger after my fast.

That's amazing what you said about Saint Philomena.

    download (37).jpeg

I had Catholic Carmelite sisters drop me off at a Saint Philomena Shrine not far from Houston Minnesota, with a big Saint Philomena statue and relics of her near a cemetery.

I spent all day there fasting, and loved it. I buried the pills I was addicted to in the soil near the shrine and she broke me of a benzodiazepine addiction.

I actually consider Saint Philomena to be the highest canonized Saint of the Capitol Hill Queens (my favorites are the uncanonized souls, but there is debate over whether Saint Philomena met the requirements for sainthood or is a Saint, which makes me love her more.)

I believe the Capitol Hill Queens have a confraternity of Saint Philomena, and are different types of Saint Philomena, she's their model, and we contend with Yahweh to get more graces for the world.

Saint John Vianney attributed almost all his miracles to Saint Philomena, and I began studying her, praying to her, and went to Mass praying to her, then got to Mass and it was the feast of Saint John Vianney.

I'm just amazed with what you said about Philomena helping you, and Polytheists praying to her.

That is totally the little Philomena I know. She loves everyone and would help any Pagan or Hindu.

Saint Philomena is also Patron Saint of hopeless cases. I'm gonna pray to her more often.

    Thanks to you. :)

    Way to go Philomena!:innocent:

    This is wonderful. :)

I sometimes wonder if God/desses, saints, spirits, etc giggle at us trying to 'peg' them into categories... I suspect they're beyond all that. While most of us religious people have a 'niche' in which we relate to divinity in best(and we tend to use that as our religious label), I don't think it necessarily has to be exclusionary.

I, too, saw the debate around whether she should be sainted. I believe they have removed her from their official calendar of feasts as well? A shame, I think. That upset the outcast in me, too.

Cool! The lights just flickered in my room like strobe lights and went out. That has never happened here before. It's like Philomena is excited. :D.

It might just be electric dysfunction, but at a time like this, I'm going to attribute it to Philomena , saying she's feeling delighted that I will pray to her more, and she will hold my hand during the dark nights of the soul, when the lights go out.

I've heard ghosts tamper with electricity in houses, and cause lights to flicker.:zap:

Remind me Saint Philomena, to pray to you every day from this day forth for all eternity. Make of me thy John Vianney.

I'm excited that Saint Philomena will be a much greater part of my life from this day forth. :):zap:

John Vianney is patron Saint of priests , and he attributed nearly all his miracles to Philomena.

The fact that she is rejected by so many makes me love her more.

You are absolutely right. Deities are laughing at how divided we are.

They don't care what our label is or what sect we belong to. If we turn to them, they help. Bless them, they bless us.

No need to argue about doctrine or Scripture or understanding Theology. Just love them (the Heavenly beings).:)

The answer depends on how we define them as aspects of our reality.
