Do any Ex-Christian experienced social shame or labeling at family level?

Yep. I'm lucky to live in a society where the worst I have ever experienced for my atheism is some very mild distaste, disappointment or confusion. Nothing stronger.

I could live in Saudi Arabia. Or Mississippi.
You could,,but when you have no option NOT to live in other society ,,it became big jail and when it comes to close society and family ..it is not a joke and need time to overcome ..

My husband came from the Southern region... After he'd lived here for awhile(Midwestern region), he let it drop at work that he wasn't Christian. He came home terrified that someone was going to "whoop his ***". I told him he might get some dirty looks, but few in this area are going to go that far...
