I know what the plan is and there will be light at the end of the long dark tunnel.
That will eventually come to pass in this world just as it will come to pass when we enter the next world.

Crusaders were Christians, and they killed infidels.

Manifest destiny? If rich, God made one rich, so God intends one to rule others? All things that a rich person does (beheading Ann Boleyn) are fine with God because God made one rich and powerful?

Tossing a chicken bone over my shoulder, as we speak.

That is not a confirmation. It is not even evidence.

How many people has the Biblical God ordered to die?
How many people has the Biblical God killed....

    As I said here:

Of course, all the thread is getting is lame excuses and double speak about it.
So I stopped being bothered with it.

Not sure why you brought up Ann Boleyn, but considering the religious belief that God chooses the monarchs of a country, then God ostensibly chose Henry VIII to rule England knowing full well what he would do. So, anything and everything done by Henry was done in fulfilment of God's will.

Including forcing England to abandon the Catholic faith and accept the Anglican faith (church of England, or, more precisely, the church of King Henry VIII, who desperately wanted more power and to sanction his previous divorce from his wife, Catherine of Aragon)? Since when does the abandonment of God's bible comply with God's wishes?

Man is made in God's image. Perhaps it is not the visual image, perhaps, instead, it is the moral image? If God killed, so do humans? Even with a commandment stopping them from killing, humans seem to carry on wars and torture camps.

Perhaps we humans should not be forgiven for original sin? Perhaps, instead, God should be forgiven for wiping out humans (Noah's flood, Sodom) in a pique of rage?

Same God who flooded the world (Noah's flood) and wiped out most people of the world....good and bad people alike....kids and old alike.

When I see people praising God for his goodness, and overlooking glaring acts of anger that harm people, I keep thinking of Billy Mumy in the Twilight Zone....It's good that he wished Tom into the corn patch....It's good that we only have one TV channel to watch, and that is cartoons. It is as if we are afraid to gripe about anything that the all-powerful creator of the universe has done.

If we are going to follow a God, merely for his power, and not his goodness, why not follow Satan?

It's like looking at the end of a line (it looks like a point). He is praising you for making a good point. They say that the whole universe started as a singularity (a single point of no dimensions). He's saying that, like the universe, you will expand and become impressive.

Seems to me the commandment should read: Thou shalt not kill unless I tell you to.

The Bible is different from any other book in that it's Author is God. (1 Thessalonians 2:13) (2 Peter 1:21) The result is a book that is accurate.

For example, the Bible is not a science book and yet it accurately revealed that the earth hangs on nothing. (Job 26:7) When most people believed the earth was flat, the Bible said it was round. (Isaiah 40:22)

The Bible contains God's instructions on ways to stop disease from spreading long before people knew how bacteria and viruses cause disease.

Bible prophecy is all coming true down to the smallest detail. Hundreds of years before it happened, the Bible prophesied how Babylon would be conquered. (Isaiah 44:27- 45:2) The Bible propehecies about our day are now being fulfilled. (2 Timothy 3:1-5) We can trust what the Bible says about the future (Psalm 37:29) (Isaiah 11:6-9) (Revelation 21:3-4)

All these things are so because God cannot lie. (Titus 1:2) Jehovah wants the best for us! So, when the Bible says that there is only one road leading to God we can trust that this direction and warning is both accurate and true. (Matthew 7:13-14)

I not believe that the Bible was 'authored' by God. I believe that it was authored by men inspired by the Holy Spirit.
Perhaps these prophets has visions that had accurate information in them but the earth is not a circle, it is a globe. The Bible did not reveal scientific facts as we know them to be true today.
I don't know anything about that.
I agree with you about that. Bible prophecy has and is all coming true down to the smallest detail. The prophecies for the return of Christ have all been fulfilled and the prophecies pertaining to the messianic age are in the process of unfolding, since we entered the messianic age in 1844 AD.
God wants what is best for us but the Bible does not say that there is one road leading to God. All true religions lead to God, although God would prefer we take the new road rather than the old roads because those old roads were built for former ages.

Matthew 7:13-14 Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.

When Jesus said that Christianity was the narrow gate that led to life, when there were very few Christians in the first centuries, but Christianity is no longer the narrow road that leads to life because about 30% of the world population is now Christians. Given that Christianity is now the largest religion in the world, Christianity is no longer the narrow road that leads to life.

I believe that the Baha'i Faith is now the small gate and the narrow road that leads to eternal life in this age. The Baha’i Faith and is the narrow gate because only a few people recognize God’s new religion in the beginning and enter through that gate.

In every new age, the religion at the narrow gate is the new religion God wants us to find and follow, and it is the gate that leads to eternal life. But it is not that easy for most people to find this gate because most people are steeped in religious tradition or attached to what they already believe. If they do not have a religion, most people are suspicious of the new religion and the new messenger. If they are atheists they do not like the idea of messengers of God or they think they are all phonies.

Jesus told us to enter through the narrow gate, the gate that leads to eternal life, and Jesus said few people would find that gate... It is narrow, so it is difficult to get through... It is difficult to get through because one has to be willing to give up all their preconceived ideas, have an open mind, and think for themselves. Most people do not normally embark upon such a journey. They go through the wide gate, the easy one to get through – their own religious tradition or their own preconceived ideas about God or no god. They follow that broad road that is easiest for them to travel.

Is God in charge or the Bible? What if God tells you to abandon the Bible? Do you tell Him no?

There is no path “to” God, for we are, by virtue of being part of the created order, inherently in God.
