First, God (YHWH) created angelic creation and those 'fallen angels' used materialized bodies to appear on Earth.
After the Flood they could No longer do that and are held in confinement until Jesus' 1,000-year reign over Earth.
The sons born to those materialized fallen angels could Not reproduce.
After God resurrected Jesus back to his per-human spirit body, then Jesus also used different materialized bodies to appear and show his followers that his God did resurrect him.

Within the Tribulation, earth and people will be burned with fire:

Revelation 8:7 The first sounded, and there followed hail and fire, mixed with blood, and they were thrown to the earth. One third of the earth was burned up, and one third of the trees were burned up, and all green grass was burned up.

Revelation 16:8-9 The fourth poured out his bowl on the sun, and it was given to him to scorch men with fire. (9) People were scorched with great heat, and people blasphemed the name of God who has the power over these plagues. They didn’t repent and give him glory.

Before the return the Mother of All Harlots is destroyed by fire:

Revelation 17:16 The ten horns which you saw, and the beast, these will hate the prostitute, will make her desolate, will strip her naked, will eat her flesh, and will burn her utterly with fire.

Revelation 18:8 Therefore in one day her plagues will come: death, mourning, and famine; and she will be utterly burned with fire; for the Lord God who has judged her is strong.

Revelation 19:3 A second said, “Hallelujah! Her smoke goes up forever and ever.”

Revelation 19:20 The beast was taken, and with him the false prophet who worked the signs in his sight, with which he deceived those who had received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image. These two were thrown alive into the lake of fire that burns with sulfur.

Then when the great battle against Jerusalem takes place, Zechariah 14:1-12, Isaiah 29:1-6, etc.

Revelation 20:9-10 And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them. (10) And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

Bottom line to me is that Revelation is written in very-vivid word pictures, so fire is symbolic of destruction.
Destruction will start first with what corresponds to un-faithful Jerusalem in the year 70.
Christendom claims to follow the Bible but is un-faithful to it, so adverse judgement will start with Christendom.

Does the smoke still go up forever for ancient Edom (Idume'a) as found at Isaiah 34:10. We know there is No smoking of Edom today but that the ' smoke ' in Bible speak means there will be No more existence for ancient Edom. So, the ' smoke ' of Revelation 19:3 means No more existence for 'her' (false religions) for the executional words from Jesus' mouth as mentioned at Revelation 19:14-16 is what will bring a forever end to corrupted religions.

The political will end up hating the religious harlot aka Babylon the Great) who thinks she sits as a ' queen ' that will Not see ruin - Revelation 18:7

The Devil, etc, according to Revelation 21:8 end up in ' second death'.
Jesus destroys Satan according to Hebrews 2:14 B
So, ' second death ' is a fitting term for: destruction.
As in all the wicked will be ' destroyed forever ' as Psalms 92:7 says.

That's OK. I actually agree with this quite a lot but not totally. Maybe I can explain later.

I looked up the Hebrew Torah. I agree that in a sense these were fallen angels as bible.ort.org says they might be. However in Strong's concordance Aleph-Shin-Heh seems to be "them wives" not "used materialized bodies." This word means "them wives" clearly in Genesis 6:2, Genesis 11:29, Judges 21:14, Judges 21:18, Judges 21:23 and Ruth 1:4. In Ruth 1:4 it also means "of the women." The word often seems to be Aleph-Shin-Reish and I don't know how to change roots.

I can't really argue the four sentences you've said here but I just have a different perspective.

First of all, in Scripture I find that ALL angels are always male.
So the angelic ' sons of God ' were all male.
They produced material fleshly bodies to mate with the women of Earth.
In other words, angels did Not mate with angels, but male angels with human females.
That is why their hybrid offspring could Not reproduce.

Considering that the Jews don't accept Jesus as their savior, I'd say that's pretty telling in itself.

Hit reply to one of my posts when the quote button says "+Quote. I think we are in complete agreement except that I am talking about both groups being like people and you are talking about one group being God and angels and the other people. That's something that needs a lot more time to go over. Maybe see my very long thread "The Bible and Aliens" in the aliens forum.

Personally not saying it is a name; Yeshuat Elohienu is Salvation from our God, the roots Yeshua Elohim imply a possible designation; the concept Salvation from our God was fulfilled in the full context of the 'Marvelous Work' of the Lord (Isaiah 52:14, Psalms 98:3).
Within my understanding of the Sefer Zerubbabel it is quite easy to read that the Messiah looks like a tramp in Rome to begin ('jesus'/Armilius); yet then when asked he informs that he is the Light of Israel, and thus becomes his true self Yeshua.

This same concept of a false derogatory version of the Messiah (jesus, Dajjal, Armilius Vs a true one Yeshua ben Yehoseph), exists in front of us, Synoptic Gospels are contrary to the Christian presented ethics by John, Paul and Simon the stone (petros).

Within Zechariah 3:9 where it says that before Yehoshua there shall be laid a stone with something written, that shall go out to deceive the whole world, this see as being fulfilled in the ideas presented by Simon the stone's and Paul's Ministry (Christianity). :innocent:

Failing to see it written on the stone that 'it shall go out and deceive the whole world'...Where is this idea coming from, Daniel 7?

I believe you are correct. Some prophecies will only be filled when Jesus returns.

I beleive asking people who lack understanding will not produce the truth.

I believe a person has to be extremely biased to think that Jesus does not fit the prophecies well.

so, I guess I shouldn't be asking Christians or Jews about what they consider prophecy...:p:D

Seriously, what I am seeking (because I'm basically lazy and actually am not extremely interested in this, or I would go do my own research...) is a table that lists, in order as they appear in the OT, with one column for those that Judaism recognizes as prophecies and a second column with those that Christianity (or some subset thereof) deems to be prophecies...and a third column to explain how the two differ from each other, how and why the two differ as to whether or not the passage refers to the messiah or to someone/something else...

Such a table may already exist, and I haven't had the time yet to follow all the links that others have provided, but I thank everyone who has done so...

There is inarguably more than one Messiah.. The idea that there is just one, (effectively a genocidal dictator), is amusingly absurd.

Why can't the Messiah be a woman?
