Why are the Democrats refusing to allow the transcript of the testimony of Michael Atkison, Inspector General for the intelligence agencies, in their impeachment inquiry, to the Republican defense in the impeachment trial?

The testimony was taken in the bunker of Adam Schiffs intelligence committee. Because it was the Intelligence Committee that took the testimony, Schiiff can keep it secret, and no members can discuss it in detail.

A Republican member of the Committee has stated the testimony is exculpatory re Trump.

The Democrats say they are all about openness and say they want openness in obtaining documents and in hearing witnesses.

So WHY is this testimony being denied to the Senate trial?

Could it be because they are totally lying about their motives?

Pretty much. Dems didn't blink an eye regarding Obama's use of executive privilege and lying regarding Fast and Furious. Obama and Holder lied multiple times, nothing. Trump lies, Dems act like its the end of the world.

It's not "I" want Bolton, Trump does. Bolton is the 3rd NSA to Trump and served during this time period. I'm all for witnesses, especially Bolton.
I'd like to see Bolton just try to exonerate Trump!

Sure. Bolton under oath is far different than what he can write in a book. For one anything classified is off-limits in a book. Under oath in the Senate means legal authority can be used to open material otherwise classified. Toss in the breaking the oath has major consequences while as an author a law suit has to be filed against Bolton.

What does he have to do with anything?

If you are asserting he is a whistle blower, he's protected by a law but laws don't mean anything to trump and the trump party.
