Couldn't Trump just pardon himself? ....:D

President Pence...now are the Democrats sure they'd want Trump removed from office? ...:eek:
There will be a Republican President until 2020 no matter what. Pence would almost certainly lose the reelection. He would not escape unscathed from Trump's wrong doings.

If Trump were a convicted criminal facing jail time, I'd expect Pence to be loyal to Trump and pardon him. Then for POTUS, I'd favor Rand Paul whom I'd hope gets the support and votes needed for winning the majority of the electoral college votes for POTUS in 2020.

President Pelosi. It could happen.
Only if Pence was shown to be part of Trump's foul behavior. He seems to be to straight cut to me, but he is a politician. It could all be a show.

Of course Nixon had Agnew who was shown to be corrupt before Nixon was. Agnew was replaced with Ford and then when the feces hit the oscillating air distributor Nixon resigned and had a safe replacement. Also if Pence was dirty and they both had to go it would be extra hard to get the Senate to vote guilty on them. It takes a two thirds vote in the Senate which means a LOT of Republicans would have to flip on them. Pence being tied in would all but guarantee a not guilty vote by Republicans.

@Salvador

Shouldn't the question be whether the Republicans are at peace with having Pence represent them?

Imo....Trump pretends to be a Christian in order to appease Fundamentalist Christians whose support he'd need to get re-elected...:D Whereas, Pence actually is a Fundamentalist Christian who'd escalate the failed war on drugs. He'd also try to legislate morality, that of course doesn't often work out very well. :eek: Fortunately, if Pence were to be POTUS, his time in office is limited by the time the 2020 election comes around. ...:)
