In Daniel 5:11.It says daniel was put in charge of the people who did magic for the king. What do you think daniel did during this time?Do you think he tried to turn them to God?

Daniel wasn't born during the Babylonian exile.. He was born over 300 years later. The author, who is NOT Daniel, is writing about history. The author lived in 165 BC during the Maccabean revolt.

One of the most famous of the lesser deities at Ugarit was a chap named Dan il. There is little doubt that this figure corresponds to the Biblical Daniel; while predating him by several centuries. This has led many Old Testament scholars to suppose that the Canonical prophet was modeled on him. His story is found in KTU 1.17 - 1.19.
