One of the earlier X-Files episodes (Squeeze) had Eugene Victor Tooms.
Imagine Reed Richards gone bad....cannibalistic murderous bad.

Funny you mentioned this, a few days ago I was flipping around and ended up on the rerun station M.A.S.H., Green Acres, original Batman, Hogans Heroes, etc. and they were playing Different Strokes of all things so I figured I'll check it out for a few minutes. I was never a fan of the show but I don't remember it being this dark. In this episode (The Bicycle Man) Gordon Jump portrayed a bicycle shop owner that was a pedophile and was grooming the two boys for molesting:
