It appears that Corvids (Crows, Ravens), have cognitive abilities and consciousness much more similar to ours then previously thought. At least in mainstream western society.

In the old Continent we have a bird from the Corvidae, which is incredibly intelligent.

I always forget that magpies are also in the Corvid family. We also have them here, but I just admit the Eurasian Magpie is most definitely vibrantly colored.

They're truly fascinating birds.

One of my favourite quirks of crows is that they're not only able to remember human faces, they're also capable of warning other crows if that human has been nasty to them.

Always be nice to crows. They'll spread the word if you aren't.
