Burning AOC ad during Democratic debate sparks outrage

This is like some kind of alternate reality.

The PAC "New Faces" is white supremacist? o_O

    ~or~

A love letter to a white supremacist "case"?

OAC doesn't even make sense... How can you write a love letter to a case?

Here is my official mailing from "friends of AOC" The bold is mine Love the "Republicans are running TV ads setting pictures of me on fire to convince people they aren't racist" bit.

Did you see this during the Democratic debate??
Republicans are so afraid of the power of our movement that they bought a prime-time ad during the Democratic debate and lit a picture of AOC on fire during it.
We’re not intimidated. We won’t back down. In under a year, we’ve fundamentally reshaped the conversation around the climate crisis, money in politics, and so much more.
Send a message that you stand with AOC, and donate $3 to join our small-dollar movement. Our entire campaign runs on small donations from people like you — not billionaires, not big companies, and not corporate PACs.
    Pa'lante,
    Team AOC"

And all the while I thought this was supposed to be the contrived controversy of the week, the dress that supposedly mocked 9/11 victims with a stitching that some idiots claimed looked like a plane crashing into a tower. The amazing thing is it actually made the news.

She's young and idealistic and most likely trustingly opened her mind in college all bright eyed and bushy tailed and allowed left leaning professors take a giant dump on her brain.

More utter BS about socialism from the fanatics on the right. The face of the right are kids in cages, people dying from lack of health care, the orange-faced degenerate in the White House, Moscow Mitch and piles of bodies due to the unbridled lust for gun sales to those who should not have them.

The face of the right is anti-semitism, white racism and bigotry.

The face of the right are lies, lack of honor, dirty deals, lust for power with no restraint, hate for what the US stands for.

That is the face of the right

I don't agree with AOC's politics, and I doubt the ad had any racist intentions considering it was a Vietnamese candidate's ad (if I understand it right), but even so, it was very distasteful to burn someone's face on TV. ABC should not have aired it. It's still a form of hate speech towards a person, even if it's not necessarily her race. What's the next level? Shooting people on TV?

The laws and the systems are in place, better communication between the responsible offices would keep them out of their hands.

Isn't it sorta weird that so many of the Trump supporters get nasty with her while continually excusing President Nasty himself by saying things like "Well, that's just Trump being Trump". :emojconfused:

Hanging or burning political opponents in effigy has a long tradition in many countries

So that makes it right? Some countries kill their opponents, but that doesn't mean that's how it should be done. It's disgusting, wherever or whoever does it.

And therein lays the plug. Typical socialist Democrat always finding ways to grab more money out of people.

It can't be, dare I say it , a slush fund?

AOC’s chief of staff ran $1M slush fund by diverting campaign cash to his own companies

How could the ad be racist?
AOC is as white as I am.
And does being Vietnamese mean one cannot be racist?

I heard Andrew Yang on NPR the other day say that it
would be "a little bit racist" to call him socialist. Really.
Is "socialism" a race....or does he believe that socialism
is associated with being Asian? Tell that to Marx & Stalin.

Btw, if anyone disagrees with me.....you're RACIST!

Agree. I didn't see the ad being racist, however, I do think it was in bad taste. Essentially, the ad is suggesting that AOC will create a totalitarian society where people are killed and having mass graves, but by burning her face wasn't necessary. It essentially suggests that we should burn socialists because they would create a dangerous society where the government kills people. It creates a bit of a contradiction.

yeah. The whole "racist" spiel is becoming racist in itself, isn't it? We also have something called "micro aggression" which is also a whole 'nother annoying chapter.

I believe she was Cambodian, not Vietnamese.

They've been doing that since the days of the Lone Ranger.

It's interesting that this person is complaining about socialism in Cambodia, but doesn't say a word about French colonialism (capitalist), Japanese nationalism (capitalist), or US imperialism (capitalist) - all of which had a severely negative impact upon her ancestral homeland. All of those other atrocities get a free pass, yet all she complains about is socialism.

Because that's what AOC is. A socialist.
