The tomb of Jesus was found to be empty on Sunday morning which followed the 12 hours of Sunday night

Mon-DAY in the days of Jesus, followed Monday NIGHT. Sun-DAY, followed Sunday night.

Jesus was sentenced to death on the 6th hour of the 12 hours of Darkness [Midnight] on the day of preparation to the Passover, he was nailed to the cross on the third Hour of the 12 hours of daylight that followed the 12 hours of Darkness, on the day of preparation to the Passover.

At the sixth hour [Mid-day] of the 12 hours of daylight on the day of Preparation to the Passover, Darkness covered the city of Jerusalem, on the ninth hour of the daylight hours [3 PM] of the day of preparation to the Passover Jesus died, and just on sunset, the end of the day of preparation to the Passover, Jesus was placed in the family tomb of his half brother Joseph the son of Jacob who married the already pregnant Mary.
