conservative party accused of 'fundamental' failure" over islamaphobia

Twilight Hue

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.
Why are there so many “islamophobes” that an ideology felt the need to invent a special name for it.
That term probably wouldn't even be around if it wasn't for islamics running planes into buildings and creatively killing people in horribly unique fashion .

Of course. It's a major Hallmark of the Socialist agenda
You realize Ive not once tried to silence such criticism based on such grounds?

So now you too are all PC and refuse to call radical Muslims Muslim? Never would have thought youd join ranks with the twitter mob.

If you ask anyone a loaded question you would get the answer you want.

If you asked 100 Remainers "Would you consider moving to continental Europe if the UK left the EU?" you would get a similar response.

Any "phobia" is an irrational fear. Note the term "irrational". It's used by those who support the cause they are declaring a "phobia". It's not a scientific nor accurate phrase. It's a political phrase.

And all political -phobia terms should be replaced whether that's Islamophobia, transphobia or whatever.

A term like anti-Muslim bigotry is better.

Political stances shouldn't be pathologised simply because someone disagrees with them.

But "Islamophobia" is a term designed by Muslims in an attempt to stifle legitimate criticism of the core ideas in Islam.

Peddling misinformation like this isn't helpful.

The earliest noted use of the term per OED is from 'The Journal of Theological Studies' in 1923, and is clearly a reference to a term already in use (presumably in French): 1923 Jrnl. Theol. Stud. 25 101 Certain writers in particular are blamed for their ‘Islamophobia’.

It's fair to note that alongside its 'normal' use, there have been groups who have sought to weaponise it to stifle legitimate discussion, but that doesn't mean it was invented for this purpose.

Both are actually anti-Semitism

Only if we decide to ignore the actual definition of anti-Semitism and pretend it instead refers to hatred of a broad group of people who speak a particular family of languages.

Anyway, most Muslims don't speak Arabic. Add together Malay and Bengali speaking Muslims and these alone outnumber Arabic speaking ones.

The closure of the factory in Stalybridge that it is moving its plant and production to Belgium. I was there yesterday planning the decommissioning, 150+ jobs gone.

That is more reasonable than blaming Brexit for Jews leaving the country.

The EU has been the biggest boon to the far right across Europe.

Britain is actually doing far better than countries like France, Germany and Italy in regard to the power of the far right.
Yes, the fact that Trump and Brexit did not happen in those countries is irrelevant. They are still energised by the events elsewhere.
