Consequences

I strongly suspect a pending situation

after my last breath.....I stand from this carcass
heaven will appear to see whatever stood up

I believe the peace of heaven is guarded
so a question will be pressed upon me......though it will be obvious my response

What do you believe?

my response would be written on my face.....so to speak
we cannot hide what we really are
we entered this world naked
we leave the same way.....even more so
we cannot hide the manner of mind and heart that we become

and the angelic will ask again.....
This is what you believe?....!!!!!

followed by.....WHO told you THAT?.....
WHY?.....did you believe it?

they will then deal upon me the consequence that ever I did nod my head

and then they will go looking for the guy that deceived me

I realize that this has to do with your afterlife beliefs, which to the best of my understanding amount to "it is a really bad idea not to believe in God".

That is as far as I go.

Come to think of it, @Thief , you are probably the biggest enthusiast of Pascal's Wager that I ever met.

So, who told you that you will stand from this carcass? Why did you believe it? Who told you that heaven was guarded, and why did you believe that? Who told you that you will be asked a question? Why did you believe that?

Who are they going to blame for what you believed? And what's more...WHY are they going to blame someone other than YOU?

So what happens when what you believe perfectly and equally matches the look of pure confusion, dumbfoundedness, and stupefiedness on your face, affirmed by the stammers of a boggled and entirely ignorant mind? What happens when you still can't even begin to collect your thoughts well enough to utter out a one-syllable word when "who" and "what" come around?

What is simple, and obvious i stand accountable for. My intentions i stand accountable for.

Everyone tries to fill in gaps with either God, or naturalism.

Pascal wasnt stupid. Stubborn insistence makes one blinder then bats.

I myself would love definitive answers about reality. None forthcoming!

I do fear stubborn insistence to conform leads to war. Its not enough to leave people to their own individual search and it should be.

People that demand that their intellect is perfect about something is a matter of hubris where humility is sorely lacking.

Hubris is the maker of unjust wars.

I certainly don't consider him one of the better philosophers I've read. So much of his stuff fails from the start because it begins with the assumption that specifically the Christian god must be true. Not dumb, perhaps, but still the very small thoughts of a very small mind.

To stand on the shoulders of giants and give ridicule to accomplished others has always been a humorous pastime.

I didn't call him stupid. But his ideas of things such as original cause, which must be his view of god and nothing else or beyond, is a product of a small mind attempting to blindly justify blind faith. Instead of letting his knowledge be unbound, he drew boundaries around it and insisted that is all there is. His little wager is the product of faith most insecure.

We're not that much apart. However, rather than an angel I feel a committee will ask the one question: "Did you learn anything?" My answer will determine my next duty station, so to speak.

I have a story about war in heaven

something of an argument
about a creation that looks like us

and argument gave display of a mindset
sooooo much like us

one third of heaven lost their positions
and we share the mindset that brought it about

but hey!......if heaven can have an unjust war.....

It's not Pascal's wager

it's cause and effect

you have what it takes to continue
or you rot in a box in the ground

I don't count non-believers as a sure fail
I know some people who can't help themselves
they really are saints

they might get a slap up side the head for all the denial they profess
but maybe the nature of their spirit will prove a saving grace
