Are you telling me there's some type of device which allows you to structure queries and submit them to a large database of distributed information, which then returns relevant results based on your query?
Yes.

Is that what this "google" is?
Yes.

If this is true, this could mean the end of people asking questions they don't know the answer to
Could, but won't.

, because they could simply utilize this knowledge device!
They could...but they don't.

LOL. How underground.

I didn't see anything about Welsh Socialists.

The Politicalcompass.org website does not reveal the people behind it beyond the fact that it seems to be based in the UK.[4][5] According to the New York Times, the site is the work of Wayne Brittenden, a political journalist.[1] According to Tom Utley, writing in the Daily Telegraph, the site is connected to One World Action, a charity founded by Glenys Kinnock, and to Kinnock herself.[6] An early version of the site was published on One World Action's web server.[7]

One World Action is a charity based in London whose aims are a world free from poverty and oppression, where strong democracies safeguard people's rights.
One World Action supports partner organizations in Asia, Africa and Central America[1] , whose work are founded on the principles of democracy. Many supported projects tackle gender inequality.

All its programmes are initiated by local people, providing understanding and meeting of local needs.[2]

Formerly named the Bernt Carlsson Trust, One World Action was founded by Glenys Kinnock on December 21, 1989—exactly one year after UN Commissioner for Namibia, Bernt Carlsson, was killed in the Pan Am Flight 103 crash.

Glenys Kinnock is a Welsh socialist , I think it is on the right hand side of the wiki page, if not it is easy to look up, Neil Kinnock (her husband) was the leader (labour) of the opposition in the UK in much of the 80's and some of the 90's

(distasteful as it is, sometimes you have to go for that second google :( )
