Communitarianism?

What do people here think of Communitarianism?

Here’s its Wikipedia page for those unfamiliar with the concept:

I think it has the potential to be the third way we desperately need, a democratic alternative to both capitalism and socialism.

I would love to hear peoples opinions of it.

(I am in the process of drawing together my own personal version of it)

It seems anti-individualism. There are those who are more social that this may seem ideal for. There are those not so social that this may seem a nightmare for. The problem being that while this may make a large number of people happy, it may also leave a large number of people out in the cold.

What is a "radical centrist" supposed to be? Someone who has no opinions except that everyone else needs to tone down their disagreement?

On the other hand, what is a "democratic" alternative to socialism supposed to mean?

We do need more emphasis on community, but communitarianism is way too anti-individual for my liking.
