Common Abbreviations and Acronyms

Here at Religious Forums, some acronyms and abbreviations are used so often that you'll sometimes see them used without explanation. To help allay any confusion, here is a bit of explanation for the most common ones. For a brief introduction to each, click on the link to see a source of basic information:

- BoM: Book of Mormon
- COS: Church of Satan
- ID: Intelligent Design
- LDS: Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints
- LHP/RHP: Left-Hand Path / Right-Hand Path
- MJ: Messianic Judaism
- NT: New Testament
- Omnimax: of a deity, posessing the traits of omnipotence, omniscience and omnibenevolence
- OT: Old Testament
- RC: Roman Catholic (note: technically a misnomer, but still commonly used)
- ToE: Theory of Evolution
- TOS: Temple of Set
- UU: Unitarian Universalism
- YEC: Young Earth Creationism
