Indeed brother something that we can agree on
Sure is, no more animal sacrifices and sin offerings, Levitical priesthood and earlthy Sanctuary and shadow laws in ordinances from the Mosaic book of the old covenant *Hebrews 7-10; Exodus 24:7 which all pointed to JESUS and God's plan of salvation in the new covenant and God's law being written on the heart to love through faith *Hebrews 8:10-12; Romans 13:8-10; Matthew 12:36-40; Romans 8:1-4; Romans 3:31. This is not to be confused with the role of God's LAW (10 Commandments) not the shadow laws of Moses written in the book for remission of sins *Hebrews 10 which in the new covenant give us the knowledge of what sin is when broken *Romans 3:20 and leads us to Christ that we might be forgiven through faith *Galatians 3:22-25 so we can be made free to walk in God's Spirit *Galatians 5:16.
There is no "ifs" as there is no scripture that says God's 4th commandment which is one of God's 10 commandments has been abolished and we are now commanded to keep Sunday as a Holy day. The fact that there is no scripture to support this practice only proves that those in the chuches that teach this practice are promoting man made teachings and traditions that are not biblical and promoting them over the Word of God. JESUS says those who knowingly follow man-made teachings and traditions that break the commandments of God are not following God *Matthew 15:3-9. God's 4th commandment is one of God's 10 commandments that the new covenant says gives us the knowledge of what sin is when broken *Romans 3:20 and if we break any one of them we stand guilty before God of sin *James 2:10-11. Now who do you believe and follow; God's Word or mans if there is no scripture that abolishes God's 4th commandment which gives us the knowledge of what sin is when broken?

Good scriptures. If you read the OP you would see they are referring to the annual feast days including the annual shadow sabbaths that can fall on any day of the week (They are not God's 4th commandment). The annual ceremonial (shadow) Sabbaths of the law of Moses were a special sabbath and also uses a different Hebrew Word called meaning H7677 שׁבּתון shabbâthôn shab-baw-thone' From H7676; a sabbatism or special holiday: - rest, sabbath. Thes sabbaths can fall on any day of the seek and are only used in the annual Jewish festivals of Feasts of Trumpets (Lev 23:24) or Day of Atonement (Lev 23:32 or Feast of Booths (Lev 23:39). These feasts are Shadows of things to come Col 2 v17 (e.g. 2nd coming, close of probation and judgement and God's people saved from their temporary dwelling on earth to the earth made new) NOTE: Col v17, Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ. It is NOT fulfilled and has NOT finished and IS to COME. These are temporary Shadow Sabbaths showing God's plan of salvation and pointing to the 2nd coming

    more to come...

Sunday worship or the claim to Sunday worship being "THE LORDS DAY" is only a man-made teaching and tradition that breaks the commandments of God that is not biblical. There is no scripture for this tradition taught in the churches today and that is why this thread has been started and the questions are being asked; who are we following; God or man?

Many Churches today are teaching man made teachings that are not biblical and leading all away from God's Word. Jesus does not respect the practice of following man-made teachings and traditions over the Word of God and warns us against doing it. This is very plain to see in Matthew 15:3-9; John 4:23-24; 1 John 2:3-4; John 3:15-21; Matthew 7:22-26.

Sin is defined in God's Word as breaking anyone of God's 10 Commandments *James 2:10-11; 1 John 3:4 and Sin is the difference between the children of God and the children of the devil *1 John 3:6-10; Revelation 14:12; 22-14.

God's 4th commandment is one of God's 10 commandments that define what sin is when broken *James 2:10-11

According to God's Word all those who knowingly practice sin will not enter the kingdom of heave because they reject the gift of God's dear son and count the blood of the covenant an unholy thing *Romans 6:23; Hebrews 10:26-39.

God has his people in every Church *John 10:16 and knows that his people have been led astray by these Churches and in times of ignorance God does not hold us accountable for sin but when he gives us a knowledge of the truth of his Word calls all men everywhere to believe and follow him *Acts 17:30-31. God is calling his people out from following man made teachings and traditions *Matthew 15:3-9 back to the pure Word of God *John 4:23-24; Revelation 18:1-4

God's Sheep hear His Voice (the Word of God) and follow him *John 10:26-27

According to JESUS the Sabbath was made for all mankind *Mark 2:27 and he is the creator of it *Mark 2:28. According to God's Word if JESUS who is the creator and "LORD" of the SABBATH made the SABBATH for all mankind on the "SEVENTH DAY OF THE CREATION WEEK" when there was NO MOSES, NO ISRAEL, NO JEW OR GENTILE, NO SIN, NO PLAN OF SALVATION FROM SIN GIVEN; HOW CAN THE SABBATH be only for ISRAEL? It cannot because there was no Israel when the SABBATH was made at creation.

Your whole argument is not biblical according to the scripture as your trying to argue now that all of God's 10 commandments are only for Israel. According to God's Word, the NEW COVENANT promise is to ISRAEL *JEREMIAH 31:31-34; HEBREWS 8:10-12 "And this is the covenant that I will make with the HOUSE OF ISRAEL... According to God's WORD in the NEW COVENANT God's ISRAEL are all those who "BELIEVE AND FOLLOW" God's WORD * EPHESIANS 2:11-13; GALATIANS 3:28-29; ROMANS 9:6-8; ROMANS 2:28-29; COLOSSIANS 3:11. If you are not a part of God's ISRAEL you have no part in the NEW COVENANT promise *HEBREWS 10:26-27. Gentiles are now grafted in *ROMANS 11:13-27

Accoding to God's Word in the new covenant God's LAW (10 commandments) give us the knowledge of what sin is when it is broken *Romans 3:20 and if we break any one of God's 10 commandments we stand guilty before God of sin *James 2:10-11. God's 4th commandment is one of God's 10 commandments that give us the knowledge of what sin is when broken *Exodus 20:1-17. If we break it just like any of God's 10 commandments we stand guilty before God of sin *1 JOHN 3:4; James 2:10-11.

May you hear God's Word and be blessed.

In the days of Jesus the religious teachers of the day had placed so many man made traditions around Sabbath keeping that it had become a burden to the people. It was though in their eyes MANKIND was made for the Sabbath. It was so bad in fact that these religious teachers were constantly looking for ways to accuse Jesus of breaking the Sabbath (Matt 12:1-2; 10; Mark 3:2'; Luke 6:1-2).

Jesus rebuked these religious teachers by saying that the Sabbath was made for MAN and NOT MAN for the SABBATH (Mark 2:27 and that he was the CREATOR or LORD of the Sabbath (Mark 2:28) and it was LAWFUL to do GOOD on the SABBATH (Matt 12:12)

Jesus did God's WORK on the Sabbath and so should we everyday but God's WORK is not the work we are commanded NOT to do on God's Sabbath for it is lawful to do GOOD on the Sabbath.

Have you not read what David did, when he was hungry, and they that were with him; How he entered into the house of God, and did eat the showbread, which was not lawful for him to eat, neither for them who were with him, but only for the priests?

Or have you not read in the law, how that on the sabbath days the priests in the temple profane the sabbath, and are blameless? Is it lawful to do good on the sabbath days, or to do evil? to save life, or to kill? How much then is a man better than a sheep? Therefore it is lawful to do well on the sabbath days.

    GOD'S 4TH COMMANDMENT

Exodus 20:8-118, Remember the SABBATH DAY, to KEEP IT HOLY. <Why?> Because God made it Holy for mankind and commands us to keep it as a Holy day) 9, Six days shalt thou labor, and do all thy work: 10, But the SEVENTH DAY IS THE SABBATH of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: <WHY> 11, For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the SEVENTH DAY: wherefore the LORD BLESSED THE SABBATH, and HALLOWED IT.

Doing GOD'S WORK is NOT what the 4th Commandment is talking about please read it.

God's 4th Commandments says we are NOT to do OUR OWN WORK. Yep NO secular business or paid work, no unnecessary domestic work, no buying and selling, shopping. This can be done on the other days of the week. God has made the SEVENTH DAY a HOLY DAY and we are to REST in HIM by FAITH in the LORD of the SABBATH. This is the 4th Commandment and one of the God's 10.

    .......................

SIN is the breaking of God's Commandments (James 2:9-11; Romans 7:7; 1 John 3:4). Those who CONTINUE in UNREPENTANT SIN will NOT enter into the KINGDOM of HEAVEN.

    .......................

God's 4th commandment is one of the ten (Exodus 20:8-11) If we knowingly break it when God asks us not to we stand guilty before God of committing sin (James 2:8-12). If we do not seek him in repentance and forgiveness we are in danger of the Judgement (Hebrews 10:26-27)

Sunday worship is a tradition and teaching of man that has led many to break the commandments of God. Jesus says that if we follow the traditions of man that break the commandments of God we are not following God (Matthew 15:3-9)

There is not one scripture in all of God's Word that says that God's 4th Commandment is now ABOLISHED and we are now commanded to KEEP Sunday as a Holy day. Who should we follow the teachings and traditions of men or the Word of God? Who should we believe the Words of men or the Word of God?

In times of ignorance God winks at but now ,<when a KNOWLEDGE of the truth has come> calls all men everywhere to REPENT (FOLLOW) (Acts 17:30-31).

Ignoring God's Word does not make it dissappear and is not an excuse not to believe and follow it. I believe and follow God's Word dear brother, how about you?

Well that is not true brother. All your posts have been answered section by section and scripture by scriptures. Your question is not based on fact or based on scriptures so how is it relevant? It isnt. As posted earlier and shown through the scriptures JESUS kept the Sabbath *Luke 4:16 taught us how to correctly keep God's 4th commandment Sabbath *Matthew 12:1-12 and that he was the creator of the Sabbath that he made for all mankind *Mark 2:27-28; John 1:1-4; 14 and all the apostles who followed JESUS during his life and after his death all kept the Sabbath according to the teachings and example of Jesus *Acts 13:14; 13:27; 13:44; 15:21; 16:13; 17:2; 18:4; Rev 1:10; Matthew 12:1-8; 10-12; 24:20; Mark 3:1-5; Luke 6:1-10; 13:14-16; 14:1-5; John 7:22-23; 9:14; Mark 1:21; Mark 6:2; Luke 4:16; 31; Luke 14:1; 23:56; John 2:6; Matthew 16:24; 1 Corinthians 11:1; Ephesians 5:1-21; Peter 2:20-22.

Your mixed up and in a different thread brother this thread is on Colossians 2:16-17 the real truth not
The questions you list at the beginning are from another thread linked below....

So, bearing in mind its an historic fact that all First Century Christian churches observed the Sunday as
    the NEW SABBATH.

1 - these Christians are guilty of not observing the OT Sabbath.
2 - Jesus is guilty of giving them the wrong impression (as He appeared on the three separate Sundays.)
3 - and outsiders are guilty of judging these Christians for treating Sunday as the Lord's Day.

You keep forgetting brother that it is a historical fact God's people have always kept God's 4th commandment unbroken through time to this very day and this is demonstrated also in God's WORD.

Sunday as a replacement for God's 4th commandment
on the other hand is not biblical and has no basis in God's Word. It is a teaching and tradition of men that breaks the commandments of God that JESUS warns us about in MATTHEW 15:3-9. This is just the same as all those who falsely claim without any scripture that "THE LORDS DAY" is Sunday. This is also a man made teaching and tradition that is not biblical.

Now did you have any scripture to share in relation to this OP which is on Colossians 2:16-17 the true meaning?

So let's look at the "true meaning" of Col 2:16
"Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:
Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ."

These people were being judged about
    1 - what they ate
    2 - what they drunk
3 - their holy days (or lack thereof)
4 - their observances of the moon
5 - their odd new Sabbath

These seven SYMBOLS were mostly from the law of Moses. They exist in many
    churches today (think Roman Catholic)
These SYMBOLS in the OT were to POINT PEOPLE TO THE MESSIAH.
(think animal sacrifices.) But NOW THE MESSIAH HAD COME, THERE WAS NO
    FURTHER NEED OF SYMBOLS.

Only two symbols were found in the NT - Baptism and the Eucharist.

Priests, holy garments, holy days, altars, temples, sacrifices, incense etc played
no part in the Apostolic Church.

But they were creeping back into some Christian congregations (think foolish
Galatians, and the early Catholic Bishop Diotrephes.)

Quote from OP "IS COLOSSIANS 2 SAYING THAT WE ARE NO LONGER TO KEEP GOD'S SABBATH?"

No, it's not saying that. It's saying that people were judging the Christians for
their lack of symbolic worship AND THEIR NEW SABBATH.

Maybe its Catholic dogma of making Sunday their Sabbath.
But for me and the church I belong which is the Church of Christ,
we believe that the Sabbath is an old testament commandment
which the Lord Jesus Christ broke by working on a Sabbath

Nope! There is nothing in your video that says God's 4th commandment which is one of God's 10 commandments has been abolished and we are now commanded to keep Sunday as a holy day is there?

You are half right though in regards to the Catholic Church and Sunday. Where do you think most of the Protestant Churches get their dogma from in making Sunday their Sabbath? Every commandment from God's LAW (10 commandmetns) is repeated in the new testament scriptures. According to God's Word (not mine) God's LAW (10 Commandments in the new covenant gives us the knowledge of Good and Evil; Sin and Righteosness *Romans 3:20; Romans 7:7; 1 John 3:4 and if we break any one of them we stand guilty before God of sin.

JESUS never broke God's 4th commandment he taught us how to keep it. If JESUS broke God's LAW he could not be our perfect sacrifice for sin.

May you receive God's Word and be blessed.

What is the memorable verse he said that you like me to react on?
Because as far as I am concerned there was nothing there for me to react.
However I gave you all Sabbath enthusiasts a verse which you all ignored.

    And the verse was:

John 5:16-17 New International Version (NIV)
So, because Jesus was doing these things on the Sabbath, the Jewish leaders began to persecute him. In his defense Jesus said to them, “My Father is always at his work to this very day, and I too am working.”

Reactions? Violent ones or not are highly appreciated.

"Therefore let no one judge you by what you eat or drink, or with regard to a festival, a New Moon,
or a Sabbath. These are a shadow of the things to come, but the body that casts it belongs to Christ.…"

Already been over this. Things in the OT like the sacrifice of the lamb were "shadows" of the Messiah
that was to come. And having come - there was no further need for sacrifice, or temple, or priest etc..
The Truth is about the substance of these shadows - many are content to remain with shadows.
The Sabbath one is tricky as it can be considered a different category to the other symbols. Here
Paul was addressing the point that the Jews were calling into question HIS new Sabbath.

    We don't have a Sabbath.
Next Sabbaths are for the Israelites, you are not one and nobody is.
Being an Israelite requires that your ancestors were from Israel and became slaves.
A genuine Israelite has an Israelite passport, not an Israeli one

Mind you, I love to take a bath but not a Sabbath [no pun intended]

Worshiping God on a Sunday, does not make you worship the Sun
Having a naughty thought like that would make your Saturday where you spend your Sabbath
    also from paganism

Saturday is the day of the week between Friday and Sunday. The Romans named Saturday Sāturni diēs ("Saturn's Day") no later than the 2nd century for the planet Saturn, which controlled the first hour of that day, according to Vettius Valens.[1][2] The day's name was introduced into West Germanic languages and is recorded in the Low German languages such as Middle Low German sater(s)dach, Middle Dutch saterdag (Modern Dutch zaterdag) and Old English Sætern(es)dæġ and Sæterdæġ.[3] The day was also referred to as "Sæternes dæġe" in an Old English translation of Bede's Ecclesiastical History of the English People.[4] In Old English, Saturday was also known as sunnanæfen ("sun" + "eve" cf. dialectal German Sonnabend).[5]

So how did the first Church worship God?
Do they have church activities during Sundays?
Isn't Sunday, the first day of the week?

1 Corinthians 16:2 New International Version (NIV)
On the first day of every week, each one of you should set aside a sum of money in keeping with your income, saving it up, so that when I come no collections will have to be made.

in another translation of the Bible, we can read this:

1 Corinthians 16:2 Expanded Bible (EXB)

On the first day of every week [C Sunday], each one of you should put aside money ·as you have been blessed [or what you can afford; L whatever one prospers]. Save it up so you will not have to collect money after I come.

please take note that this is not just a couple of Sundays but every Sunday.
The only thing wrong with Sunday is...

Your confused brother. What violent reactions are you talking about? If I have made no violent reactions why are you pretending that I have? Now in this post your only repeating yourself and this post and scripture has already been addressed and answered. JESUS never broke any commandment. If he did he could never be our perfect sacrifice.

In the days of Jesus the religious teachers of the day had placed so many man made traditions around Sabbath keeping that it had become a burden to the people. It was though in their eyes MANKIND was made for the Sabbath. It was so bad in fact that these religious teachers were constantly looking for ways to accuse Jesus of breaking the Sabbath (Matt 12:1-2; 10; Mark 3:2; Luke 6:1-2).

Exodus 20:8-11 8, Remember the SABBATH DAY, to KEEP IT HOLY. <Why?> Because God made it Holy for mankind and commands us to keep it as a Holy day) 9, Six days shalt thou labor, and do all thy work:
10, But the SEVENTH DAY IS THE SABBATH of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: <WHY> 11, For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the SEVENTH DAY: wherefore the LORD BLESSED THE SABBATH, and HALLOWED IT.

SIN is the breaking of God's Commandments (James 2:9-11; Romans 7:7; 1 John 3:4) Those who CONTINUE in UNREPENTANT SIN will NOT enter into the KINGDOM of HEAVEN.
    .......................

Did you wish to talk about the OP here which is about Colossians 2:16-17?
