I've been talking about Orthodox Christianity, but I know little about it. I've got to shut up and listen/read more.o_O

Seeking wisdom is never a failure :) Only by seeking can you find wisdom from within.

I've failed, alright. I had a twisted view of christianity, now I'm ashamed.

Do not be ashamed my friend :) You realized your mistake and now you are on the path to fixing what was done wrong in the past. Do not cling to the past but learn from what you did wrong. To understand new wisdom is to understand what you did not know or understood in the past.

In the past, I thought that I knew everything about God and I boasted. And I wrote things dumb and I thought they were wisdoms. And AFTERWARDS I read the bible and I saw later how stupid I've been. :(

So now you are on the track to understand what God want you to know of his teaching :) You see the scripture is there so humans can learn what God want us to say to others.
When we only think we know, then we are not speaking Gods words, then we speak human words with no wisdom in them. So now when you read the Bible your wisdom will arise, and you will more clearly see where you did misunderstand Gods words before. But do not feel ashamed. When you speak to people from now, say to them. This is my understanding of Gods words. That means they will understand that it is your understanding of the truth, Not directly the understanding of what God actually know and see.

We humans want to know the truth, but the more we understand the more we also understand that we do not know. It is so much more to know about God and truth then we can even imagine. But without failure how can we learn what is not correct understanding :)
You will learn something new every day.

Hold on, .... do ya mean "Orthodox" {Big "O") Christianity? Orthodox as in Eastern Orthodox, Russian Orthodox, Armenian Orthodox, and other Denominations that actually include the word "Orthodox" in their name? Or do you mean "orthodox" (Little "o") Christianity as in "conforming to the Christian faith as represented in the creeds of the early Church”?

I mean the big O. The denomination. But I'm also interested in all christian denominations.
