If it's a single-use cipher then it's inherently un-crackable with only one example. Before anyone spends time on this, we should be assured that the key is obtainable through math alone

By single-use cipher, I think you mean one time pad. It is not one time pad. This is a variant of the Vic cipher, and was seeing how secure it is.
