Bible research is so easy nowadays. And, if you realize there are variations in translations due to differences in the interpretation of sometimes only one word... I noticed tonight that the Strongs Concordance is online too now...

One of my favorite points of irritation is that the place where is not in some versions. Matt 27:52-53 and the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep were raised; 53 and coming out of the graves after His resurrection, they went into the holy city and appeared to many.

    It is a controversial passage.

I can see a Pastor leading a discussion in a congregation of 25 to 50 people who want to participate. Others could be there but perhaps they would not wish to do so.

I can see them all interconnected through their "Pads", sort of SKYPE like. He'd start a lesson and those who wished could look up ideas or scriptures.

    Yes, perhaps just dreaming.....

A tablet education system would be excellent, we could have preprogrammed lessons with interactive support; yet church would first need to evolve into something more, than remaining simple in Christ, people would all need to realize 'those who seek shall find'.

    In my opinion. :innocent:

The Mormon, I think, have one of the best software systems I've seen. They use the actual KJV unaltered, except the footnotes include their Book of Mormon, Doctrine and Covenants and a few others. I love their Sacrament Service if they would leave out the Salt Lake Bunch, who are seriously hurting the general membership.

Just sounds like a "Teaching Church", albeit an online one. It's the only kind of church I will consider attending (teaching church not online church). Strongs Exhaustive Concordance is a great tool. I have the hardback at home for my own personal study but use the online one for RF just out of convenience. I love Matthew as it is the book I gave my first sermon on when I was ordained.

    Matthew 27 52-53

52 And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose,

53 And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.

This talking about what happened during and after Christs crucifixion. Its conveying the idea of how Jesus salvation allows us to enter heaven (trying to keep the explanation short and simple).

If I only had a nickel for all those Greek interpretations for one word about a gazillion different meanings from various pastors and clergy.

It does put in some perspective when you put all the pieces on the table thanks to the ability to put mass information side by side nowadays.

People already listen to pastors and look things up on tablets iPads, iPhone and conventional Bible as they talk.

In addition to teaching, as in Acts 2:42 the church is also involved in fellowship, prayer and reaching out to others.

I had in mind a physical church where those who want to contribute have Tablets. It is one of the things I liked about the Mormon Church. Sunday School and Women's Relief Society allowed participation. Sacrament Service did not. The sly psychological abuse of the Salt Lake City Leaders made it all fall apart for me.

I returned from a temporary Mission to Kenya in 2001 before 9/11 and was planning to attend Bible College. God had other plans.
