If Jesus of Nazareth's bones were discovered during an archaeological dig and it was 100% certain those bones belonged to him would that destroy your faith?

    It would mine

Because that would mean that the resurrection and the ascension never happened

And the whole of Christianity is based on that having happened

It would mean that his physical body did not ascend to Heaven to join God The Father

For me, no. My faith is now, at this point, confirmed by experiences. (though it was at one point a leap of faith)

It's an interesting question tho. We don't really know all about how spirit and flesh interact or what the domain of each is to precision, though I do know that Christ said that in heaven we'd be as the angels, and it seems not at all like this flesh. (e.g. John 4:24 God is Spirit, and His worshipers must worship Him in spirit and in truth."
Matthew 22:30 In the resurrection, people will neither marry nor be given in marriage. Instead, they will be like the angels in heaven.)

If those bones had, 'Jesus' cut into them and everybody knew they were his? If I had Jesus skeleton I could tell people exactly what they wanted to hear -- that he was resurrected in a new spiritual body and had sent his bones here to prove it and that I had the proof they'd be resurrected -- proof through me his personal representative. Proof of comfort and satisfaction is what people want. I'd be not just the new pope but the verified and ultimate modern pope, like Peter reborn.

How this would grieve God. How terrible and evil it would be. I'd be tempted will all the power of this world, perhaps praised and serviced throughout the world if God entrusted me with the true relic of Jesus. Hopefully I'd behave like a real Christian would do or just someone with an ounce of compassion, just a modicum of decency. I might not though. The experience might make me snap.

If I had a skeleton of Jesus that was definitely Jesus? I would be so rich. I'd be so powerful. Even if I did none of the above I could sell it and be set for life. I could rent it out and be set for life and have enough to pay for 10 wives which no one would question since I was sent by God.

Man -- Jesus real skeleton? I need to buy a 3D printer. You have given me a terrific idea.

I do not believe physical bodies ever ascend to heaven.

Don't worry, I have Jesus's bones locked up and secured, no one will ever find them.

So your faith is based on lack of evidence?

You know how sometimes things are 'hidden in plain sight'?

The thing that determines -- decides the outcome -- of whether our faith endures or fails is precise and definite. And told directly to us by Christ:

“Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock. And everyone who hears these words of mine and does not do them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell, and great was the fall of it.”
    Matthew 7 ESV

(it's best to read the whole chapter)

Also, we learn that we only bear good fruit solely by abiding in Him:
    Details: John 15 ESV

Not really, but then my depiction of Jesus is not exactly orthodox.

How would we know? There’s no baseline DNA to use as a positive model.

However, as Jesus said, “Whatever is born of spirit is spirit.” The physical body is not resurrected.
